Time is ticking by Chapter 18

Danny's P.O.V

it's been 7 days since I brought laura into hospital and the twins wer born I haven't left the hospital that's all that's on my mind is hoping that they will b ok

There's been changes happening with the twins both are now up to 5lbs and the doctors are saying that if they keep gaining weight they'll b able to go home but wer not ready for them to go home we have nothing at home for them and I mean nothing we wer ment to go shopping when I came home and I don't want them to go home without there mother

The nurses are pressuring me to name them but I don't want to do that on my own mam has decided that we'd do shifts on sitting in with them but the twins are moving into Laura's ward today so there won't need to b as many people needed to do the shifts

There reducing her a coma douce sage hoping that she'll come out of it soon tom and gi have been brilliant they have been helping me so much there even gone out shopping for baby stuff this morning

I've asked the doctors when she's going to b woken up and they said within the next 4-5 days so I've decided to go home and have a shower for a while "tom if anything happens make sure u ring me I want to b the first person she see when she wakes up" "danny well ring u now go home for an hour or so everything will b fine

Toms P.O.V

after 7 long days of not eating sleeping or showering danny had finally decided to go home for a hour or so the twins wer moved in to the other ward today so now there all together but the nurses brought them off for a feed gi drove danny home his mam and Vicky are already there they went back this morning to sleep and harry and dougie are coming in this evening so it's jst me with laura gi said she'd wait with danny and bring him back

The doctor came in and checked on laura about an hour after danny left he said to me "ring danny she's coming out of acoma in the next 10-15 mins it's looking up" the excitment started to build up inside me as I dialled Danny's no he picked up "danny get gi to bring u back to the hospital ASAP she's going to wake up soon" I new he was excited with the tone in his voice 5 mins later we wer all back in the room the twins,danny,me,gi,harry,dougie,izzy,kathy,vicky all waiting for that moment we all thought it was best if we left danny and the twins by them selfs in the room so we all left

Danny's P.O.V

I go home for the first time in 7 days and I get a phone call to say she's waking up the excitement is building my adrenalin is pumping I can't wait to see her I hope she's ok here I am sitting in the room with her and the twins I can't wait to hears her laugh see her smile feel her hugs a very exciting adventure is going to start from here on in with the two of us raising our twins together

I'm sitting in the chair holding her hand when I c her eyes flutter she's woken up "hey how u feeling" "hi" she says in crocked up voice "how long was I out for" I replied "a week today I have some news for u" a worried look came on her face "it's ok I comforted her "it's good news" she sat up in the bed "wat is it" she asked taking a sip of water I stood up and walked around the other side of the bed with a smile plastered from ear to ear the midwife handed me the baby girl it walked around the side of the curtain the smile grew on her face as I handed her our baby girls he looked down at her and back up at me I went to get our boy and brought him around the corner two neither of us could stop smiling I bent over and gave her a Kiss there was a knock on the door

In walked dougie harry izzy mam vicky tom and gi her eyes lit up to know how much support she had while she was out they all came in and sat down she was so over whelmed by everyone there was another knock on the door in walked james matt and Emma she was so happy to c them all I told her I had a surprise for her she looked at me and said "it's not another baby is it" we laughter and I said "no" I shouted "come in" and she looked at me in a strange way coz no one knocked but in walked Ailish and Nicole her two best friends from home she hadn't seen them in months her face lit up as she screamed "AILISH NICOLE WAT ARE U TWO DOING HERE" They looked at her and laughed "wer here coz someone rang and said u wer after have twins and we had to come and meet them"

After a while the doctor came in and said that "visiting times are over and that you should go home but she wouldn't b here tomorrow as she's being moving to st.James privet hospital this evening with the twins" they all came up and said goodbyes she said that they'd c them tomorrow Ailish and Nicole wer last to leave they wer staying in dougies for the next week or so when they all left and the twins wer being put in the travel cots by the nurses to b moved I sat down on the bed beside her she had been disconnected to all of the monitors she took off the covers I stood up to let her out then she stood up she came over to me a nd gave me a kiss and a hug "thanks for being there thanks for loving me and helping me ur the best when I get out of here life will b better with u by my side and that's the truth cos the heart never lies right" we both hit into a fit of giggles as we walked out of the hospital and into the ambulance she's back the girl I fell in love with busking on the street is back and ready for action
