I readied my own swords weakly just as Alice Synthesis Thirty raised her sword and shouted.
"I, Alice Synthesis Thirty———Integrity Knight protecting the Human Empire———will not yield to creatures from the Dark Territory——!!!"
Integrity Knight? Human Empire? Dark Territory? What the hell is she talking about!?
"I don't know what you're talking about!" I shouted back, readying my two swords, which one of them «Unity Vox» was completely empty of its magical energy—it was, at its current state, only a standard sword.
Alice pointed her golden sword at me, which I scanned with my «Display».

That was the problem with «Excalibur».... its ability was locked. I couldn't even access the magical energy inside its blade to cast a spell.
It was still a powerful sword, one that's status exceeded that of «Unity Vox» easily. However, I felt more familiar and comfortable using «Unity Vox» than the golden sword.....
It was similar to how I was more familiar with the black sword I used in Aincrad, the 50th Boss Monster's drop item «Elucidator», even more than «Dark Repulser», a crystal sword Liz made for me.
"Tch..." I clicked my tongue, lowering «Unity Vox». Now that the magical energy around it was gone, it was just a simple sword.... against something like Alice's «Fragrant Olive Sword», it could easily be broken. Without a choice, I let go of the sword, putting it back into my «inventory», and re-holding «Excalibur» to my right hand, feeling its massive weight in my hands as I readied mny position.
