Wait, What?

I smile back.

"I'm a Book Agent," he says quietly, but we're surrounded by books, so I doubt anyone can here.

"What?"

He smirks, then looks around, as if to make sure the coast was clear. It's only books, I say to him telepathically. He doesn't seem to get it, though.

"I'm a Book Agent. I jump from book to book to make sure what needs to happen, happens."

"What? Are you okay? Are you high or something?"

"I'm 'Or something'.Want me to prove it to you?"

"I'd like to see you try." I retort.

He looks at his watch, types something in, grabs my hand, and we're somewhere else.

I look around. WE'RE IN TFIOS. OH MY GOSH. OH. MY. GOSH.

"Wait, WHAT."

He smiles directly at me.

"See?"

"This is perfe-wait. Hold up. Isn't this the part where Hazel gets...the call?" I ask

"Bingo. I have go to go set up Gus though, make sure he, you know. Dies..."

"Wait. YOU'RE THE ONE WHO MAKES AUGUSTUS DIE?! WHY, YOU SON OF A-" He cuts me off, and we're right outside the bookstore again.

"Wait, what?"

"I like you. You got this nerdy-girl vibe to you-"

"Geeky actually, geeky. Yes, there is a difference."

He laughs "Alright, you got this geeky girl vibe to you. But you also have this fiery spirit inside of you. I like it."

I blush, and feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.

"Um, thanks. Just one question. Where the HECK DID YOU GET TECH LIKE THAT?!"

I point to his watch.

"I'm from a different world. Not quite a different planet, a different world."

"Is there a difference?"

"Have you ever read Narnia? It's like that, a bit."

"Oh."

"Be right back, gotta go make the fault in the stars! Bye."

He disappears, so I head back into the store and continue my job.

Ish.

I pick up TFIOS, and I notice the last few pages.

They're blank. But I read up to where I can, but I notice something else. The rest of the words are appearing right before my eyes. Right onto the paper. James.

"So is he nice n' cute or is he a stereotypical guy?"

I hear Claire ask from the back.

"Nice and cute, actually!"

She comes out of the back.

"So do you think you have a chance with him or do you think..."

"I might." my cheeks flush, but I'm still focused on the book.

"OOH, GOOD! You're now my favorite OTP. What's his name?"

"James."

"Oooh! Ship-name-time! Lymes. Wait. No. That's a fruit. Jaynn! Ooh! If I have kids, I'm naming my girl that!"

"You know, you're not a normal adult." I say back to her.

"Thanks, sweetie!"

I finish off the book. All the words are back.

"Sad and heartwarming, yeah?" I hear James ask behind me.

"Yeah..." I reply, absent- minded.

"Wait! What? When?!" I jump up, realizing.

"Eh, few minutes ago," He replies casually.

"Want to come with me?" He asks, smiling.

"What?! Where?!"

"Jumping. From page to page, book to book...Wanna help me keep the books in order?" He explains. I think about it. I live with my Aunt Sharon, so what would I tell her?

Eh, she doesn't care about me anyways, she probably won't notice.

"Yes, yes I do."

He smiles and glances up from his phone.

"Alright then, let's jump."
