This will include: Names, Rarity, Rank, Uses during Combat and magic Evolution.
Let's start with the Ranking system!

Rank X- Godly Magic. None known.

Rank SS- High King magic, Dragon Magic, Space and Time
Rank S- Spatial, Void,
Rank A- Light, Darkness, Spirit
Rank B- Fire, Race magic (Elf, Vampire etc.)
Rank C- Water, Earth,
Rank D- Air, Shadow

These attributes rankings at the start, this doesn't show strength once mastered.
There is no Rank SSS attribute, but there are possible Rank SSS spells

From The Magi Institution for outstanding mage's

Let's start with the basic Magics and what they do!

Fire- The Ability to manipulate fire
Water- The Ability to manipulate water
Earth- The Ability to manipulate the earth and plants (to a certain degree)
Air- The Ability to manipulate the Air

Now for the rest!

Godly magic- Unknown, has not been seen in action
High King Magic- This cannot be displayed
Dragon Magic- Used by the Dragons and to some extent the 'Dragon Family' whose ancestor created a bond with the Dragons, the rest is purely a myth.
Space and Time- This magic has been used once, but has long been forgotten.
Spatial- This can manipulate the space around you there are multiple uses for this.
Void- A very deadly and corruptive magic, very few people can use this magic and survive.
Light magic- A holy magic, can create a small blessing and can heal.
Darkness magic- Mainly used by creatures of the night, can create nightmares.
Race magic- This cannot be displayed
Shadow Magic- Can manipulate shadows.

Family magic
Family magic is magic that a family has created or been blessed with, e.g The Dragon family 'Draconic tongue'

Now for rarity!

Fire- 1 out of 1000 people
Water- 1 out of 500 people
Earth- 1 out of 500 people
Air- 2 out of 1000
Light- 1 out of 1200 people
Darkness- 2 out of 1300 people
Shadow- 2 out of 5000 people
Void- 1 out of 100000 people
Spatial- 1 out of 100000 people

Now for uses during combat! These will be the main/ most used uses.

Fire- Can burn the target over an extended period of time, Damage depends on users strength with the magic
Earth- Can trap the target in the ground.
Water- Can distract the target.
Air- Nothing really.
Shadow- Can sneak up on target.
Light- Can heal team members, if needed can blind for a period of time.
Darkness- Nothing really.
Spatial- Can slash people from far away.

Now for Magic Evolution.
Now magic Evolution is basically, say water Magic Evolving into ice magic. You can still use Water magic, but you have more control over it and more base abilities. This happens rarely.

Water - Ice
Fire - Magma
Earth - Metal
Air - Storm
Shadow - Darkness
Spatial - Space (Not Space and Time, just Space)
Light - No Evolution
Darkness - Void

A/N There we go, now that I've done this I can see I am going to have to change the list of 'Banned magic for OC's' including their 'Evolved forms'
That has been changed to:
Godly, Void, Space and Time, Spirit, Spatial, Dragon.
Basically, you can have the basic 6 elements, including Shadow.
Race magic I will decide if you choose one other than human. No Yokais, Dwarfs or Dragons.
If you want a family magic, put it in as well and I will decide.
And remember not to make it OP.
