" Words are pouring out like endless rain into a paper cup.
They slither while they pass; they slip away across the universe... "

"Well? What're we gonna do, Johnny?" I spoke in a panicked tone of voice, not able to help but bite at my fingernails.

John scoffed, he didn't seem too anxious about this at all, "He won't tell. He'd never hurt me like that, trust me on this one."

"How can ye be so sure?" I asked, leaning against one of the sinks.

"Well, under that cold exterior, Stu is nothin' but... a coward. All bark, no bite, ye know?" John said bitterly. "He's nothin' wi' out me."

"Wow." Is all I replied with.

"What?" He lit a cigarette. "It's the truth, is it not?"

"John... If he told anyone, our band would be..." I stared at the floor in a nervous trance.

"Bloody ruined. I know that very well, Macca." He looked to the side of the room and sighed. "If he says a word, he knows exactly what'll be comin' next."

"Still! Everyone would alienate n' tease us... If Geo and Richard found out, they'd only join 'em." I clenched my fist.

"And they won't find out. We'll keep it a secret for as long as we can." John smiled and shot a wink at me, instantly making me feel a little better. "It's our word against his. Who's more trustworthy, honestly?"

"We should... get outta here before someone else comes in and finds us." I suggested.

"Good plan." We pecked really quickly and slowly left the washroom.

"From now on, we have to be as stealthy wi' our relationship as we can be." I nodded as we began to part ways. "We can't deviate or cut corners wi' this stuff, anymore! Don't care how needy ye are."

"Wasn't that the plan in the first place, love?" John asked sarcastically.

"It was! Yes! And look how great it's worked out for us so far!" I returned the sarcasm.

The rest of the day I couldn't help but keep a close eye on Stu who shot uncomfortable glances in return. It was like waiting on a time bomb to explode in your face. John glared back at Stu and he quickly turned away, thankfully.

We all met in the hallway before third block, John wanted to ask if we were meeting after school today for practice.

"I'm gonna need some answers." Richard demanded, "Seriously, why the Hell is that Sutcliffe kid damn-near stalking us?" He asked.

"Like I said, Rich, there's really never a true, clear-cut reason when it comes to the likes of him. Ever since John kicked the two of 'em outta the band, they've held a bit of a nasty grudge." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Don't worry abou' them blokes, ye guys. Promise ye that they won't do shit to us." John bit his lip. "Anyway, after school today, are we gonna meet at yer place still, Richie?" John diverted the conversation nonchalantly.

"Oh! Yeah, thas still fine wi' me. How abou' ye, Georgie?" Richard tilted his head at George.

"Course." He replied.

"Lovely. Well then, ta to ye guys!" Richard walked off to his class.

"I better be goin', too, my next class is on the third floor. So, send me yer condolences. See ye lads after school." George rushed up the stairs.
