The Tea

Francis's point of view
I woke up to lighting and thunder and pouring rain banging against the windows. Mary was still sleeping in my arms. "Mary." I lightly shook her. "What francis?" She asked "I really feel like we should talk." I said "What time is it?" She asked "it's only 11:30." I said "Really? I feel like I have been sleeping for hours." She said "We can just wait until morning if you want." I said "No it's okay, you won't be able to sleep with the storm." She smiled "Oh shut up." I smiled "Because my eighteen year old boyfriend is scared of lighting and thunder." She giggled tickling me. "Stop it." I laughed "I'm going to make some tea, I'll be right back up." She stroked my cheek. "Okay." I kissed the palm of her hand. "I'm going to make the green tea pomegranate one, is that okay?" She asked "Yeah that's fine, thanks." I said "Your welcome." She said, she went down stairs. I got out of bed and opened the blinds. I heard the kettle downstairs. Mary came up a few minutes later with two tea cups in her hands. "Thank you." I took a cup from her. "Careful it's hot." She said "Okay baby." I said "Okay so let's talk about jealously." She said "Lets." I said "I know this has happened twice with me and I'm really bad at jumping to conclusions but I'm trying to fix that about myself. I trust you Francis I do. And before either of us jumps to conclusions, we need to talk to each other and get the accused's story. Because in our experience that would have fixed a lot of things." She said "I think that's a good idea." I said "Okay would you like to say anything?" She asked "Um I don't know." I said "Francis please contribute to this conversation, I don't want to be the only one talking right now." She said "Okay well I think we both just need to be happy and not let things get between us." I said "Francis." She said "I'm mad at you for not trusting me about not having feelings for other people." I said "oh." She said "I'm sorry." I said "no this is good." She said "It is?" I asked "Yes we need to get it all out." She said, she went and sat on her couch with her legs criss crossed. "I'm sorry I haven't been trusting you, I'm a very jealous person and I know that. And I'm sorry." She said "I just want you to know how much I love you, I could never even think of another person." I said "Well I'm always scared Your with someone else because your so amazing and smart and handsome and kind and perfect and I'm afraid that I'm not enough for you." She said, she closed her eyes and a tear dropped down. I set my cup down on the nightstand. "Not enough for me?" I went over to her and bent down in front of her and held her hands. "Mary you are everything to me." I said "Really?" She cried "Of course you are." I wiped her tears. "I just feel like your going to stay with me because you love me but only day your going to resent me because I'm holding you back." She cried "Mary don't tell yourself that, you are the best thing that ever happened to me. I could never hate you and I could never resent you." I said "Francis I don't want to be a teacher." She said "What are you talking about?" I asked, she sat down next to me on the ground. "I'm going to brown to be a pediatrician." She said "But you love kids, you wanted to be a kindergarten teacher." I said "I do love kids but I want to really help them." She said "Mary, even if you choose to be a janitor I will always support you." I smiled "And if you want to be a drug dealer I will dump you so I don't go to jail." She smiled "There's my fun girl." I smiled "One more thing because we can get to the joking around." She said "College." I said "College." She said "Ugh." I said "I mean brown and Harvard are only an hour away, we could take turns going to each other's dorms every weekend." She said "Well that will work for the first year but what about when you join a sorority and I join a fraternity." I said "Same thing. Maybe?" She asked "I don't want to break up." I said "Me neither." She said, she put her head on my shoulder. "Have you heard anything from Harvard?" She asked "Yes." I said "Well tell me." She smiled "I got in." I smiled "I'm so proud of you." She smiled then kissed me. "I propose that we travel for our freshman year then if we decide not do to sorority's or fraternity's then we can move in together." I smiled "Are you sure?" She asked "Yes, and if we do we can just travel more." I smiled "And then when I get out of med school and you get out of law school we can move to the city." She smiled "You mean New York City?" I asked "Why not? We can live in the upper east side and decorate it so nicely and we will make good money for me as a doctor and me as a lawyer." She smiled getting on my lap. "I'm glad we talked." I smiled "I'm glad we talked too." She smiled "Now I should get a little treat for getting into Harvard." I smiled "Oh please I do most of your homework." She smiled "Yes but I paid you back in kisses and dinners." I smiled "I love you." She said "I love you too." I smiled then kissed her, I picked her up and laid her on the bed. I got on top of her and kissed her. Thunder struck and I jumped off her. She started laughing like crazy. "I haven't been scared of thunder storms since I was eight." She giggled "Shut up." I laughed "I love you." She smiled getting on top of me, I smiled then kissed her. "I love you too." I smiled flipping out positions so I was on top. "Demanding Francis." She giggled "Mhm." I smiled then kissed her.
