Chapter 22

Kagami woke up, her eyes feeling wet since she had cried in her sleep. She slowly sat up in her bed, wiping her tears. She must've cried a lot since her pillow was soaking wet. "This is so strange... That dream felt so realistic... It felt like I was actually in Sidon's past..."

   Picking out her clothes for the day, Kagami changed out of her nightgown to her casual attire. She started to brush her hair, feeling like styling it for a change. Taking a small strand of hair, she began braiding it, and clipped it to the back of her head. Taking one last look in the mirror, Kagami exited out of her room to start the day.

   As Kagami was stepping onto the domain floor, a Zora child was rushing up to her with a shy look. The blue Zora child looked bashful, and couldn't look at her in the eye. It looked like he was hiding something behind his back. "Kagami... I have something for you..."

   Kagami gave him a welcoming smile, waiting for gift he was going to give her. "Your name is Keye, correct? What do you have for me?"

   "I've been meaning to give you this for a while, but you've been so busy lately... Here." Keye held out a rose for her in his tiny hands, still not looking her in the eye as he was blushing.

   Kagami gratefully accepted the rose, gently smelling the aroma off of the lovely flower. "It's beautiful, I love it. Thank you very much for giving this to me."

   Keye had his hands behind his back, wiggling his body in an antsy way. "It's nothing. I think that you're a very pretty lady so that rose reminded me of you..."

   "Oh, really..?" Kagami felt bashful at the child's comment, thinking it was really adorable. She looked at the rose once more, smiling at it. "You're a kind child, Keye. I will keep this rose as a memento of you." She carefully put the rose in her hair so that way she had a way to carry it for the day.

   The three other children were rushing to Keye, looking at him with happily curious faces. "Did you confess your love to Kagami?" The other blue Zora, Tumbo asked.

   "No... I wasn't trying to do that. I just wanted to give her the flower was all..." Keye's words sounded convincing, but his face told a different story.

   The red Zora, Finley then spoke up. "I don't think she would have accept your confession since her and Prince Sidon are in love with each other." That made Kagami's face burn up. Not wanting the children to see her in such a state, she quickly calmed herself down.

   "No way! The one Prince Sidon will fall in love with is me! But if it can't be me, I guess this pretty lady is exceptional." Laruta admitted.

   Just then, Hayate came to Kagami's rescue. "Hello children, are you all having a chat with Kagami?"

   "It's the handsome guy! I say you're a close second next to Prince Sidon!" Laruta had her hands behind her back while smiling.

   Hayate put his hand over his chest, dramatically gasping. "You wounded so, little one! As you know, I think I'm just as good looking as Prince Sidon!"

   Laruta giggled. "That won't change my mind!"

   "Oh alright, all mighty one." Hayate took a good look at Kagami, looking at her from head to toe while nodding. "You look extra cute today. What's the occasion?"

   Kagami slightly blushed receiving a compliment. "There's no occasion. I just wanted to do something different with my hair."

   Hayate saw the rose in her hair. "Nice rose! Where did you get it?"

   "Keye, this one here, gave it to me as a gift."

   Hayate stared at Keye while smiling. "Oh really? Tell me, Keye, do you have a crush on Kagami?"
