Chapter 8: Rainfall

Before we start, lemme tell y'all that this chapter was so fucking special to me and I've been so hyped to write it and now here we are :) enjoy my favorite chapter.

Gussion's POV

It was still raining very hard today. Though, it's slightly died off. Suppose it was light enough for them to bring classes back.

But hey, today's the first day that I officialy get to say that I like Lesley. I'm just nervous about it.

We both meet at the school entrance. I see her wearing the spring uniform with her umbrella which had a similar color to her velvet hair.

"Good morning Les! Nice to see you even in the cold weather." I say, trying to make conversation.

"Morning Gussion! I'm a little cold but I'm sure it'll be easy to get through today." We both laugh as we enter the school.

The day was rather normal. We both met in a few classes, while in some classes I remained thinking of her. It's easy to say at this point that I'm in love with this girl.

The bells rang indicating that the day was over. I pulled out my blue umbrella and waited for Lesley at the gate.

I see her not long after with a frustrated look on her face. I approach her and ask

"What's the matter? Why do you seem so angry?" I ask

"The bus trips were cancelled today due to muddy roads. I hate walking home." Lesley said with a distressed look sticked to her face.

"Well, I can walk you home." I offer her.

"Oh no it's fine! I should be ok with walking by myself." She said, holding my hands down.

"I insist. Let's go!" I say as I take her hands and we start walking.

It was akward at first, but I closed my umbrella and I carried hers to make it less akward.
It was around this point that the rain got very hard.

I could tell Lesley was nervous from all this rain, since it looked like the road started to flood up, so I took her by the hand and said

"Hey.. the rain's perfect. It should be fun to bask in it every once in a while."

I gave her the umbrella as I went in the streets to play in the rain. It wasn't like there were even any cars going since the road was closed.

"Come on! Join me." I offer her my hand. Lesley took a moment to decide, before letting her umbrella go and jumping into my embrace.

We were both laughing, and dancing in the rain. We used the dance from our audition for this moment.

It was a magical moment, we kicked the water as it splashed everywhere while the cold rain landed on our bodies. I wanted this moment to last forever.

"Hey, Les. Let's sing a song." I said as we were both walking in the watery streets.

"Sure. What song?" She asks

Instead of answering, I decided to start the song up myself.

"There's no reason, there's no rhyme
I found myself blindsided by

I'm dealing with it on my own
Phone is quiet, walls are bare
I drink myself to sleep, who cares?
No one even has to know"
I start to sing. I look over to Lesley and it seems like she also knows this song, and started to sing along.

I got way too much time to be this hurt
Somebody help, it's getting worse

Once the light fades, everything is dark

I feel my body giving up

Dealing with it on my own" we both stood up and started a slow dance in the falling rain. Our bodies moved in sync, taking each step delicately.

We both end the song, my left hand on her waist while my other was holding her soft, pale ones.
We both stared into each other's eyes, taking each moment to study each other through the windows to the soul.

I suddenly felt weird. As if everything around us was slowing down.
I felt our faces get closer. As they got closer the rainfall got slower, to the point where our lips touched and time completely froze.

I could taste Lesley's soft strawberry stained lips, the kiss got very passionate we both closed our eyes to take a moment for ourselves as I kissed her deeper, marking her as mine.

I felt as if this moment lasted forever, and I wanted it to.

But unfortunately, good things never last. She broke the kiss with a sense of worry and guilt in her eyes, yet her mouth speaks of pleasure.

"I... I wasn't ready for that." She said to me, panting heavily.

"I wasn't as well. But I do know that you're a good kisser." I tell her as I carress her cheek. She embraces my hand letting me know,

That she loves me as well.

I just had to wait for the perfect moment to say it.

"I love you, Lesley."

I waited for a response, walking through the cold air.

"I love you too, Gussion."

They finally kissed!!!! I'm fangirling/boying  (im gender fluid) omygooooodd
