"You good to drive?" Rhett flips his keys in his hands as Link dismisses himself from the group.

"Yeah." I assure both him and Nicole. "I'm just excited to get home and order some pizza."

"Alrighty then." He chuckles before waving and heading to his car.

"I'd ask if you wanted to hang, but after pizza I'm probably taking a long nap." I explain to Nicky.

"We can always nap together."

"Deal."

My eyes crack open and shift around my dark room until they find the small electric clock on my nightstand.

2:43 AM

I find that at some point after I fell asleep Nicole must've left. Knowing me, I probably hogged all of the bed and gave her no other choice. I hug the soft covers with my arms and legs both, inhaling deeply. Occasionally headlights from cars passing by make their way through my shades and dance along my wall, momentarily granting me sight. I always sleep so well after an incident. Always.

I could fall back asleep right now if I wanted to. I roll over and extend my arm to the table once again to grab a hold of my phone and immediately turn the brightness on the lowest setting. Only 3 notifications meet me.

Some junk email. A webcomic I follow updated. And a text message.

I slide the message open to reveal an unsaved number with an attached document to it.

This could totally be some horrific murder photos sent by a serial killer who plans to kill me next. Or porn. Or...

An application. Oh. Cool. For mythical crew position.

I shoot a text back to the unknown number.

Thanks, mysterious stranger. 👍

With that, I slap my phone back to the table and go back to sleep.

The house is quiet once I wake up again in the morning. I am met with a completely free day, and I'm taking every opportunity to sit on my butt the entirety of it. Maybe I'll knit. Or play some video games. Or read. Or write. Or paint. Or sculpt.

I settle for browsing memes on the Internet.

After a few hours I finally leave my room to get some leftover pizza from yesterday, only to find my dad had eaten the remaining couple of slices when he got home. I internally forgive him before beginning my cupboard-raid.

I plop onto the couch with a box of crackers and pull the application up on my phone, beginning to fill it out. This is gonna be strange chapter of my life, and I can already tell.

Sorry for the short chapters,
The last few were short because I've been busy, but today I have no good excuse other than me feeling lethargic for the past few days and this was all I could come up with. Sorry there's not much Rhett in this chapter, I'll make it up to ya
