I know this story is on hiatus, as my seemingly incurable writers block has made me feel like everything I force myself to write is trash,
but I just wanted to take this time to remind you guys that you're all worthy, beautiful, lovely people who are so very loved.I hope every single one of you and your loved ones stays safe during and beyond this COVID19 pandemic.
This is a very, very scary time that none of us were prepared for nor have experienced before. There is a very real threat to our livelihood and we as humans don't know how to adequately or efficiently adapt.
So I hope you guys are able to, wherever you are, feel some sunshine on your skin, breathe some fresh air, embrace a nice breeze of wind, or listen to the birds. Even if it's from a window.
Also, I want you to know not to pressure yourself into taking this time to create anything. Many people are coping with this time on their hands by creating art, crafts, stories, music, etc...
If you don't have the motivation to sit down and create anything, that is perfectly okay and valid. Your productivity does not define your worth.
You are great. Every one of you. And if any of you find yourself needing to talk, others and myself are willing to chat. Socialization isn't a fix-all, but it definitely holds the capability to help some feel better.
And finally, self care is limiting the COVID19 updates you see. While it is important to keep up to date on the latest news from experts, it is also crucial to allow yourself to go about your routine as normally as you can during these times. (While maintaining the safety precautions, of course)
Seeing nothing but coronavirus-related things all day, every day can take a toll on our mental health.
I haven't been checking the COVID19 updates for a while, while continuing to quarantine, practice proper hygiene, and wearing as appropriate of a mask as I have when I do have to leave for groceries or my medicine.
Do what you can to protect others and yourself.
This won't last forever.
Stay safe <3
