I looked down at my outfit, but instead of black, it was all emerald green, and the necklace I usually wore was replaced by a strand of Christmas lights, the feather pelt was also traded for a strand of bells, and I had traded my mask for a Santa hat. I was on my balcony, my hands drawing my fathers cloak closer towards me. I inhaled his comforting scent and kinda smelled my mom and tried to relax. Thinking of how it was possible that a psychopath like Sirius Black could be Harry's godfather, it was ridiculous. "Hey (Y/N)," I heard Luci's voice come from behind me. I turned my head and looked at him, "Yes?" I asked, turning around and looking at him, placing both my elbows on the railing. "The guys want you in the Gryffindor common room to give you your gifts." He said. "Oh, that reminds me, here," I told him, handing him a gift. "Aw, this is so sweet, thank you." He said, unwrapping it. When he opened it, tears filled his eyes as he pulled out a picture of him, her, and all her pets together, laughing, smiling, and joking around. "I love it. Thank you." He told me, tears falling but immediately evaporating as they touched his skin. He placed it next to all my photos before climbing up my arm and hiding in my hair. "Alright, let's go," I said, exiting through the portrait of my parents.

I walked down to see Harry shredding his present's like a wolf would shred it's prey, "Geez, what are you, a wolf?" I questioned, my eyebrows raised. "thanks for the gift (Y/N)." He told me, a smile on his face as he held up the hand-carved wooden lion that actually roared and walked around. I smiled, "You welcome." I ended up getting a lot of candy, a sweater from Molly, and a whole lot more.

We were smiling and laughing in the common room as Harry grabbed a long, thin package. "What's that?" I questioned. I was interrupted when Adara came soaring in through the window, another package held in her talons. I looked at it and saw a card, it was from my grandfather.

Dear (Y/N),

Just in case you have to make anymore daring do rescues again on the Quidditch field ;).

From, your grandfather

I quickly tore it open and gasped at what I saw...a Firebolt. I looked to see the boys looking at Harry as he opened his package so I quickly summoned one of my knives and carved my name into the broom, then I carved the brooms name, Tempest, and I finally carved my mascot. I let go of the knife and it was sucked into my necklace. I put the broom against my chair and walked over to see what Harry got, the bells on my waist jingling a little. I saw he had gotten a Firebolt to. "Hey, would you look at that," I said and showed him my new broom. He smiled when he saw we both now had Firebolts. "Did yours have a letter (Y/N)?" Fred asked, "Yep, it's from my grandfather." I said looking down at the broom.

Christmas spirit was definitely in Hogwarts that Christmas. At lunchtime, they went down to the great hall to see a set up for twelve people. They saw (Y/N) was already there, still wearing her new Christmas outfit. There were about two more students there, an extremely nervous first year, and a sullen-looking fifth year Slytherin. "Merry Christmas!" Dumbledore said as they approached the table, "As there are so few of us, it seemed foolish to use the house tables... Sit down, sit down!" He said as the three sat down by their amused-looking friend. "Crackers!" Dumbledore said, offering the end of a large silver noisemaker to Snape, who took it reluctantly and tugged. With a bang like a gunshot, the cracker flew apart to reveal a large pointed witch's hat topped with a stuffed vulture.

The kids and other teachers grinned, while others chuckled or giggled, but (Y/N) almost fell backward out of her chair. Snape's mouth twitched and he pushed the hat towards Dumbledore, who swapped the hat for his wizard's hat immediately. "Well, what're you waiting for, an invitation? Dig in!" He advised the table.

The rest of the evening was filled with laughs and stories, they even got (Y/N) to tell more stories about the Grimm and other legends and fairy tales. "The most popular fairy tale is probably the Wizard and the Four Maidens." She said. "Oh, do tell," Dumbledore said, a sparkle of excitement and curiosity in his eyes. She looked a little reluctant but nodded and began the fairy tale,

Deep in the forests of America beside a great and mighty river, stood the small, fragile home of a cold frail man, a lone wizard and huntsman. Hidden from the dangers and distractions of the world, the wizard seldom had visitors. But on this day as he peered out his window, his gaze fell upon a young maiden. Calmly, she sat beneath his tree in a state of absolute tranquility. When the wizard demanded an explanation the maiden simply replied, "My name is Winter, I am on a journey and I am waiting for my sisters." With that, she closed her eyes and sat in silence. The wizard told himself the girl was a fool, but the longer she sat, the more he wished to share the serenity the young maiden enjoyed. In time, he grew tired and decided to close his eyes as well, thinking on this strange predicament.

Upon opening his eyes, the wizard was befuddled to find that a second maiden has appeared beneath his tree, cheerful and spry, with a basket of fruits and flowers. When he asked for an explanation, the girl simply replied, "My name is Spring, I am on a journey and I am waiting for my sisters." To show her gratitude for his reluctant hospitality, the girl retrieved a handful of seeds from her basket and planted them in the wizard's garden. The old hermit could hardly believe his eyes, as the maiden turned what was once a mere pile of dirt and manure, into a beautiful garden, from which life would surely blossom. It's likely he would've gazed for hours, were it not for the unfamiliar laughter he heard from beneath his tree. A young woman with a warm smile now stood beside the two maidens.

The wizard begged her to introduce herself to which she happily responded, "My name is Summer, I am on a journey and I am waiting for my sister." 'Of course!' thought the wizard. But another chirp of laughter left the old man perplexed. What in the world was so funny? As it turned out, it was him! The new arrival found the wizard's insistence on staying indoors so very amusing. Why choose to view the world through a small window when the door leading out to it was right by his side? It was a compelling argument. And after only a moment of brief hesitation, the wizard left his home... And stepped outside. The warmth of the sun brought with it a surge of energy and life, and soon the wizard wasn't feeling much like himself anymore... He was feeling much better! As the day drew to a close, the maidens and the wizard all settled down and prepared a feast. Winter set the table, Spring supplied the crops, Summer prepped the meal, and the wizard was the happiest he'd been in ages.

But in all the excitement, he nearly failed to notice the delicate woman that now stood beneath his tree. He smiled and beckoned her to join them, asking only for her name. "My name is Fall," she replied softly "I am on a journey and am here to meet my sisters. Who are you?" "Me?" The wizard wondered "Well I am but an old hermit, I have lived in these woods alone for centuries and I'm afraid my story is not very interesting, as I have no one to love and nothing to my name..." The elder sister looked up at all that surrounded them. "But sir, do you not see? You have so much." It was true, with their help, it was now clear to see that the wizard had everything he could ever need. He was grateful, but a question lingered in his mind. "Why me?", he asked. "Why did the four of you chose to open my eyes? To share with me your gifts? Why am I so special..." The four sisters looked at one another perplexed. Finally, the eldest spoke. "I beg your pardon sir, but we did not do these things for you because you were special. We do what we can for everyone because we are able." The old wizard was at a loss. Never in his years had he come across such kindness. It was at that moment that he knew what should be done.

The wizard summoned his magic, every ounce he could muster and bestowed it upon the sisters. He smiled. "Take this gift, and know that you are able to do so much more." Now armed with the elements, the very powers of nature, and the unimaginable magic of the wizard, the four maidens, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall, promised to carry onward with their journey, using their gifts to aid others, just as they had aided him. One by one the sisters left. But before they did, they made one final promise. They promised to return each and every year, to visit their dear friend.

The End

Once she said those last two words, the table erupted into applause and she scratched the back of her head, blushing slightly. "What an amazing story, you'll have to tell it again soon," Said Dumbledore with a smile on his face. (Y/N) smiled back and soon it was time to get to bed.

(Y/N) walked back up to her common room with Luci saying, "That was a great story, and I agree with your grandfather, you should tell stories more often." He told her. She let out a small laugh as she continued to climb the stairs, finally making it to her common room.
