I don't think twice.
Before I know it, I'm in front of Ridge just as the Alpha leaps. The burly man's body slams into mine and the impact sends me flying back into Ridge. We all collide into a mess on the hardwood floors. Ridge is trapped beneath me and the Alpha, who snarls and delivers swift punches to my face. My face snaps to the sides as his fists connect. Blood pools into my mouth and I'm clawing and kicking at the man above me - all the while Ridge is screaming obscenities and struggling to get out from under us.
The Alpha suddenly grabs me by the shoulders. My head lolls uselessly as he hoists me off of Ridge just to throw me into the wall. The drywall breaks and I scream as I feel my ribs break.
Ridge and Shawn are attacking the Alpha with precise blows as he struggles to get to me. "I'LL FINISH WHAT I STARTED!"
I force myself out of the me sized hole in the wall, my body screaming in protest. The world turns sideways and I'm collapsing onto the ground, pain shooting across my body.
I can barely make out Ridge sinking his canines into the Alpha's throat before I lose consciousness.
