It was all over the news.
A gigantic meteor was heading straight for the Moon and in less than two weeks, the world as everyone knew it would be gone. PSAs all over TV were telling people not to panic, that everything would be okay and to just find their loved ones and spend their last moments with them. But of course, it wasn't all that simple. The moment the news came out, flights we're sold out and traffic filled all major cities. Yet here you were, in your small mountain cabin waiting until doomsday.
Your parents were on the other side of the globe and you still hadn't met your soulmate yet. You doubt you ever would at this point. All you could do now is just count the days until your untimely demise.
Dread filled your stomach as you rolled over to the side of your bed to check your phone. No signal. You wondered about your parents and friends, were they trying to find ways to reunite or were they hopeless like you? Thoughts roamed your brain as you rolled over and sobbed yourself back to sleep.
