The next day was the first day of classes as the birds tweeted and the clock dinged through the corridor. Right now we were all in our first Divination class and me, Neville and Draco was sat together at a table. Hermione wasn't here due to she was late due to she had a time tuner and I've only just managed to get here on time myself without suspicion. McGonagall gave me and Hermione both time turners for our classes...only for our classes.

"Welcome, my children. In this room, you shall explore the noble art of Divination. In this room, you shall discover if you possess..." Trelawney her name was started to speak. I believed this subject was hogwash but since all my friends were taking it might as well and besides, it was the easiest class to pass apparently from Fred and George.

A crimson scrim flutters and Sybil Trelawney, Divination Professor, glides dramatically into view, eyes huge and bug-like behind enormous glasses as she nearly tripped over the table. "The sight. Hello. I am Professor Trelawney. Together, we shall cast ourselves into the future. This term, we'll focus on Tasseomancy, the art of reading tea leaves. So please, take the cup of the person sitting opposite you." Trelawney said and Draco took mine and I took Draco's. I can't even see them but I'll give it a go for laughs. "The truth lies buried like a sentence within a book, waiting to be read. But you must broaden your minds." Trelawney said as she went Finnigan who was with Weasley and Potter. "First you must look beyond."

"What rubbish." Hermione said under her breathe.

I, Neville and Draco spin to Hermione with shock. "Where did you come from?" Draco asked in shock. I knew where from. We had Muggle Studies and Ancient Runes.

"Me? I've been here all along." Hermione said and I shot her a look and Hermione shot me one back.

"You, boy! Is your grandmother well?" Trelawney said and Neville looked to her with worry.

"I... I think so." Neville stutters and I shook her head. Why worry Neville about his grandmother?

"I wouldn't be so sure of that. (continuing) Give me the cup." Trelawney said and Hermione gave the cup to her. She then looked and then put it down. "Pity." She said and Neville grabbed the cup with worry.

"Nevs, don't listen." I whispered and Draco nodded knowing that this was a woolly subject

"Unfortunately, classes will be disrupted in February by a nasty bout of flu. I myself will lose my voice. And in late spring, one of our number will... leave us forever." Trelawney said to them all.

As the class exchanges uneasy glances, Trelawney smiles brightly.

"Your aura is pulsing, dear. Are you in the beyond? I think you are." Trelawney said to Draco who looked to the woman who was insane.

"Sure." Draco said cautiously.

"Look at the cup. Tell me what you see." Trelawney said and Draco looked to the cup and looked to the symbols he could see.

"Yeah. Well. Worths got sort of a wonky sort of cross - that's trials and suffering. But this lot here could be the sun - that's great happiness. So... she's going to suffer but be very happy about it." Draco said and I raised an eyebrow at that one...what would make me suffer but makes me happy?

"Give me the cup." Trelawney said and with that, Draco passes the cup and Trelawney looks within the cup and gasps slamming the cup on the table making me jump nearly in fright of what she did.

"Ahhh." Trelawney did as she backed away and I looked bit concerned. What did she see in the cup? "Oh, my dear girl. You have the Grim."

"The Grin? What's the Grin?" Finnigan asked sneering.

"The Grim. Not the grin, you idiot." Padme said to him.

"Taking the form of a giant spectral dog, it is among the darkest omens in our world. It is an omen... of death." Bem read and I paled and Hermione, Draco and Neville looked to her with concern. I took the cup and looked within for the new image to emerge slowly of a dog...Sirius Black. I didn't know what it was but dread filled my stomach...this wasn't going to be a normal year it seems. I hope it's wrong about someone dying.

After Divinations I bolted it out of there to Transfiguration where McGonagall was. She was one of my favourite teachers but she always takes Harry's side instead of mine that's why I don't like her sometimes. As we were all sat down she started to teach but no one was in the mood after Divinations.

"What is it with all of you today?" Minerva asked seeing the looks on the children's faces.

"We've just had Divinations." Draco informed her.

"And who has she predicted to die this year?" Minerva asked and I hesitated to place my hand up and Minerva sighed. "Don't listen to her she predicts every year that someone is going to die and it hasn't happened. Now, let's get on with the lesson." She said and so she went on but it still didn't make me feel better...Trelawney predicted my death...great! What's happening this year? Troll? Voldemort? Devil Snare? Basilisk? What? I just didn't know and I wasn't looking forward too it.
