Can I call them friends now? How do I know if someone is my friend? Is it a friend if we spend a lot of time together or maybe it doesn't matter how much time we spend together, maybe we're friends if we connect and share opinions? I don't know if we share opinions and I don't really know if we get along but we do spend a lot of time together. So, they're my friends? I guess? My first friends and I don't even know if they're actually that. Fml.

"So, were your birthday expectations exceeded?" Trevor asks me when we get in our room. Elliot was sad we had to leave him, but he quickly forgot when he remembered he had unfinished homework. Who does homework after midnight? Is he crazy?

"I didn't have any. But yeah, it was a nice way to wrap up the day. Can you turn around?" I have to change into my pyjamas. He turns. No questions asked.

"How come you're so skinny when you eat so much?" He suddenly asks.

"What? Why were you looking at me while I'm changing?" Pervert weiner.

"I didn't know it bothered you, I thought you were gonna change underwear or something. Sorry."

"To answer your question...I actually don't eat that much. I love food but if you haven't noticed I only eat at lunch. I very rarely eat during breakfast or dinner."

"How do you survive you alien?!" He puts his hands on the sides of his face.

"I don't know. I just do."

"I mean, I really rarely eat breakfast but come on man you'll die with one meal a day."

"I'm still alive, aren't I?" I lay down.

"Barely dude. You're as skinny as a toothpick." He lays down too.

"Am not. I mean, I...I'm strong." I sound too unsure. Dammit.

"Yeah, yeah."

"Don't believe me?" I abruptly sit up.

"I don't actually."

"Come on then. Let's fight." Ash you fool, you saw this guy's abs the first day. He'll smash you like you're nothing. I know he'll beat me but my stubbornness suddenly decided to appear.

"Let's go bro." He stands up and I do too. "Come at me." He smirks.

I throw a very, extremely weak punch and he catches my fist in his hand.

"Okay, yeah. You'll beat me up. We can stop."

"Nah ah ah. Let's see what you're made of Ashy." I don't know how to fight so I just do what I've seen in movies. I raise my knee and try to kick him but it's like he expects it and immediately blocks it.

"My turn." He says as he takes both my hands and twists them behind my back. He pulls my back against him and keeps pulling my hands tighter.

"Okay, Trevor. You got me." He doesn't let go though so in one sudden twist and pull as I try to get away, I end up stumbling on my own feet and fall...him too, on top of me.

"Ah shit. I think the ground won this fight." I comment as I close my eyes and wince. When I open my eyes I see Trevor breathing heavily and his face is close to mine. Too close.

"Uh, Trevor...you can get off me now."

"Ash..." He breathes as his eyes search my face. What is he doing? And why aren't I doing anything? Before he gets closer I push against his chest and he falls beside me. I rush to get into bed and with one last "Good night" I close my eyes.
