Chapter 23: Results and Aftermath

Fear...faith...hatred...love

I stare at my enemy as these thoughts appeared. Illsmouth growled as he tried to process what just happened.

"What just because you got a new look and speak a different language, that your better than me?! I am Captain Illsmouth, leader of both Nox and the Illsmouth pirates! And I refuse to lose to a snot nose brat like yourself!!" Illsmouth shouted as he charged at me.

I raise my arm as he swung another tentacle at me. However unlike before, I didn't feel anything from his attack. I gotten ahold of his tentacle and begin to swing around. Once I managed to gain enough momentum, I let go as Illsmouth got sent through the air. He smashed into the wall, collapsing it as rubble falls on him. The air where the wall collapsed was covered by thick cloud of dust.

I slowly walked towards him as a tentacle shot from the cloud. Unable to move out of the way, I crossed my arm in a "X" shape as I brace for impact. As the tentacle made it's mark, it caused my whole to slide back a few steps back.

Through the gaps of my arms, I saw Illsmouth stand up as bits of dust fell off him. His clothes were in tatters and was now missing his hat. He was breathing heavily as I can feel his killer intent radiate off him.

"Now I'm angry...I never thought I'd have to use my final form in a child" Illsmouth growled.

"Tu forma final? No es eso como un cliché barato y usado en exceso?" I asked him.

"Stop mocking me with what your saying!" Illsmouth shouted as under the mask, I had a confused expression. "I'll send you straight to Davy Jones locker!!"

Suddenly Illsmouth face and body began to turn red. He trembled as two extra tentacles sprouted from his face. Not only that but he grew two extra arms with a fleshy membrane connecting both respected arms.

"Now tremble before my true form!" Illsmouth yelled.

He cheated at me as I got ready. The two tentacles on his face darted at me as I try to dodge his attack. I jump into the air as I try to avoid them but from the corner of my eye, I saw a third tentacle come from the side. Unable to do anything, it slammed into my side as I got sent flying towards a wall.

I crashed with my back first but I was slightly dazed from the impact but felt no damage overall.

"Mierda tengo que tener más cuidado con sus ataques" I said to myself.

As I look up, I saw a barrage of tentacles coming my way. Caught by surprised, I felt the first one slam into me. This was quickly followed by another one and another. The impact of his attacks with my back against the wall caused a thick cloud dust to form around me.

"Now feel the might of Illsmouth!" He laughed loudly thinking he finally manage to inflict the final attack.

Tsuyu pov

After a minute of constant pummeling, Illsmouth retracted his tentacles. He was breathing hard as he waited as the dust to began clear out. There sitting on the ground with his head slumped down was Y/n. Small wisps of black smoke occasionally drifted off his armor.

"Y/n...Y/n!!" I shouted, hoping to hear a response. I could feel my eyes tear up as I feared the worse.

"Give it up...he's been defeated" Illsmouth said as he turned around to look at me. "Still...for a brat he was strong. However it was enough. He was a fool to think he had a chance."

He began to walk towards me as shook my head. I refuse to believe Y/n was defeated. I know that he will wake up. I feel tears escape from my eyes as kept saying his name. Suddenly I feel something hit the side my face as felt my cheek begin to warm up.
