Chapter 30: The Final Round

"Ok good looks like nobody's around. Now to leave this here and sneak away before anyone catches me. Seriously I need to update more often. Crap I hear voices. I gotta vanish.

Tsuyu POV

"And the winner of the fourth round is....Tsuyu Asui!"

Midnight raised her arms as she signaled the end of the match. I stood there breathing hard as I looked at my opponet Ashley. After a long difficult match, I managed to pull out the victory. I glanced at the my team, only to be surprised that Y/n wasn't there. Confused, I made my way over to them. I sit beside Mina as she excitingly began to talk to me.

"You did awesome Tsuyu! Now we're tied with them" She said with her usual big smile.

"It wasn't easy but somehow I manage to win" I replied. Ashley's quirk made it difficult to get close to her. "By the way, where is Y/n?"

"Oh Principal Nezu needed to speak with him about something. It was just before your match too" said Mina.

"So he missed my match?" I asked disappointingly.

"Unfortunately but he really didn't want. Still I wonder what it could have been about?"

I wondered that too. It must have been improtant if it couldn't wait till after the tournament. I didn't get to think about it much as I watched Midnight take center stage again.

"After four amazing rounds, we're finally at the final match. Now will Arlo Wellston and Y/n L/n please come to the stage" She announced.

I watched as Arlo made his way to the arena. My opinon of him wasn't great but I could see that he wasn't happy. The cocky smile he had at the beginning was no longer there. He made his way to arena but there was no sign of Y/n. Everyone begin to whisper among each other, wondering where he was.

"Um will Y/n please come to the stage" Midnight annouced again but there was still no sign of him. A few minutes passed as we all waited. "If Y/n doesn't show up, U.A will have to forefit the last round!"

A wave of nervousness washed over us as she said that. Arlo however had his cocky smile back. I closed my eyes as I began to think of him.

"Please Y/n show up. This isn't like you. You would never just run off.

"Hey there he is! In the tunnel!"

I heard someone shout as I open my eyes and turned towards to face the tunnel. I began to relax when I saw him but that's when I noticed something. His head was down as his hair hid his face. I watched quietly as he made his way towards the arena, not once acknowledge us.

"Something's not right...it's almost like he's covered in darkness..." I heard Tokoyami whisper.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I'm not sure but...there's something off about him" he responded.

"Y/n..." I whispered as I watched him. "Please be ok..."

Zwei Pov

"Kid talk to me. I understand this is hard but you need to focus. Your friends are placing their faith in you"

"...."

Once again, I was ignored. Ever since that fluffy creature told my partner that Diego passed on, he shut away his voice. He made his way to arena where that blonde creature stood with that irratating smile.
