They rushed down the narrow hallway as they emitted Gomez into ICU. Morticia sat wide eyed unable to speak She was a nervous wreck what happened to Gomez? "Mother, are you alright?" Wednesday asked cautiously. She looked at her daughter with pain and fear in her eyes, "No I'm not your father might die and I can't do anything about it and I don't know what to do so no Wednesday I'm far from ok!" She yelled and broke down.
Wednesday hugged her mother she's never seen Morticia so defeated. The whole family was a mess her father dying her mother emotionally broken her and her brother left to take care of the twins.
It was 12:30 in the morning and no word from a doctor the twins fell asleep on Pugsley and Wednesday's lap as all of hen stayed awake. Morticia looked at her daughter she smiled at all her family standing proud with her through the troubling times.
"Mother when are they going to call fathers name?" Pugsley asked
Morticia sighed, "I'm going to find out." She growled
Morticia got up and marched over to the front desk and stared at the receptionist, "Gomez Addams what is his condition?" She asked
The receptionist looked at her records, sighed and shook her head, "He's still in ICU you can't go back there yet." She snapped
Morticia's eyes widened, "You're serious do you realize that it's currently almost 1:00 in the morning and nothing no word on my husband I've been here for over 5 hours straight and nothing! Where's my husband?" She yelled
The receptionist rolled her eyes and called the doctor down.
"Yes Mrs.Addams?" He asked
"Update on my husband I've been here for 5 hours what's going on?" She questioned
The doctor shook his head and sighed, "I'm so sorry Mrs.Addams that you had to wait so long but your husband's cancer is gone but something else happened he had a mini stroke so we're keeping him overnight just Incase something happens but he's hooked up to monitors that will let us know what's going on." The doctor explained
Morticia nodded, "I'm not leaving until I know he's ok! I- I need him to be ok I can't do this without him." She cried
Wednesday picked her up it was now 3:00 in the morning they were still at the hospital Morticia fell asleep while holding Wednesday as the doctor shook them awake.
"Mrs.Addams Gomez is awake and is looking for you."
