Tony sat in the ship feeling, Different. But it was a good different. Peter wasn't here with him to see him so vulnerable, Pepper was safe on Earth, And he'd die the way he'd wanted.
Maybe not a hero, But in isolation as to not hurt anyone. Nebula had blasted off a few days ago, And he's been stuck in his head.
The first few days were pretty anxiety inducing but he'd found peace with it.
However one thing lingered in his mind, Peter. His last words were "I'm sorry."
He didn't want his death to cause me harm. Tony has realized that days ago. It's all for the best yeah? I don't have to watch him wither away, becoming disabled from moving anything.
Now that he's above in heaven where he deserves to be, I don't have to think about that. Sad though. I won't see him again. When I die I'm not going to the same place as him.
"Jarvis- When my heart rate drops down To less then twenty beats a minute I need you to play Highway to Hell." Tony directed.
I've always said that's what I'll hear when I die. At least I can do that much.
