Six months later, Carlton Drake sent a rocket into space to bring back alien life forms, that were later named, symbiotes. In the process of bringing them to Earth, the workers in the ship were attacked and crash landed. Leaving only four symbiotes alive, along with one human, clinging to life. However, one of the symbiotes had escaped and the Life Foundation workers instantly rushed over to retrieve the other three symbiotes and nurse the one worker back to help. Workers took the injured man to the hospital, but before miles away from the crashed ship, they were soon killed and taken over by the worker, who had a symbiote inside of him. The symbiote took one of the workers body and walked down a dark abandoned road. The symbiote looked down at the piece of fabric in its hand, which was his next destination. It read, The Life Foundation's.

Six months later, after Eddie had come to interview your dad, things were still not the same. You rarely talked to him and he rarely talked to you. Sure, you worked with him here and there, but you could never have a deep bond with him like you did before. You spent more time alone and you soon grew used to it. You loved all your free time and you worked out for the most of it. You figured that you had to become stronger physically in order to be able to protect yourself in case anything would to occur. As much as you hated to admit it, you couldn't trust your dad anymore, you couldn't trust anyone. You were reading on your bed, silently thinking to yourself about what you just read. You heard a quiet alarm on your wall and looked to your side, seeing your communication box flashing. It was your dad's voice that came through it, your father was calling you down to the lab. You sighed loudly, slapping your book shut. "Coming!" You responded, putting your lab coat on as you walked out to take the elevator downstairs. You brushed your hair behind your ear, the new way you liked it, and cleared your throat. Once the doors slid open, you walked inside the elevator and went down to the lab. You stepped inside the lab and saw all kinds of fancy and high-tech stuff, stuff that you didn't even know how to use. The silver coated walls and bullet proof glass shined with a blue hue from the lights. "(Y/n)..." You looked over at your dad, not moving your head and looked straight forward. "What is it? I'm very busy studying...you know?" You asked, sighing. Your father paused and you waited for him to finish. "I have something to show you, you will think it's cool." He smiled. "I will be the judge of that." You remarked, scoffing. It has been a while since you and your dad have been alone, in the lab. The tension was already high with you jumping down your dad's throat, but the air seemed to be already tense. Your dad motioned you to a room with his hand. "Come on." He led you to the room on your right and you walked over to it, with your hands in your pockets. You gasped and took your hands out of your pockets, pushing your face and hands up against the glass. Your dad didn't see you because he would have pulled you off the glass by now. You had a bad tendency, even as a kid, to touch the glass of the rooms. You saw, inside the rooms, there were highly contained organisms. One was black, one was a light dark blue, and the other one was a mixture of black and yellow. All of them shared something in common, their looks. They all looked like slime that you would see in an alien movie, the type that could kill you if touched. They slithered around in the room, exploring all the space they had to move. (Amazing! This is what he found in space!? This is beyond anything from this generation!) "What is that?" You asked, face still on the glass. Your dad glanced at you and turned away, but then took a double look and sighed. "No, don't do that." Your father pulled you back and held your shoulders. "They are what we call symbiotes, they will help us with our studies for the future." You turned your head to the symbiotes and blinked your eyes twice. "What? What do these things have to do with us?" You asked. "What don't they? You see, these creatures can only survive with a host and if they can survive in us, then we can live in space." He explained. You saw the black one crawl up the wall and you shuddered. "Yes but..." You trailed off and your father looked into your eyes. "I only trust you, (Y/n), my only daughter. I need your help with learning more about these things." He said in a serious tone. You twisted your foot and bit your lip. "No humans, right? You won't experiment on them again, right?" You asked, crossing your arms. "No humans." Your dad smiled. "Good!" You hugged him, and he hugged back. "Come on, let me show you what information we have so far." He showed you the tests that he did with animals and how the symbiote could react with the host. "Vital organs and everything else seem to be ok." The lab assistant said. "You see (Y/n), the symbiote and the host must share the same organs in order to live. That's why it's vital that the symbiote is matched up with the right person. I need your help with figuring out why they need this and see if we can fix it." Your dad explained. "Ok...but why is it that it is limited?" You looked at the yellow and black symbiote slither around on the floor. "I mean, it doesn't look like these things have any type of organs, or even the need for those essentials to survive." Your dad thought for a moment and nodded. "Very well, bring in the test subject." The woman starred at your dad, like he was insane and opened her mouth to protest. "But sir, we still have yet to understand what these things can do! It's to early to use a hu-" Your father hushed her and narrowed his eyes. "Sh! Not another word! Do as I say, not as I do!" You were confused by this, but you didn't ask any questions to upset him more. (Organs, huh? How odd...with something that came from space and it needs a host to live, how have they lived for this long? I can only wonder...) "Dad, while you are using your new test subject, do you mind if I watch this symbiote to study it more?" You asked, pointing to the black one. Your father looked at you up and down and nodded, as his final decision. "Very well, you may go and study the creature. Since we put it back in its capsule, it won't hurt you now." "Ok!" You lit up with life and grabbed a clip board and pencil. "Don't open the capsule, (Y/n)." Your father warned. "I won't!" You left them to their work and you stepped outside, to the black symbiote's room door. You looked over at the key card scanner and you swiped your card through. The red light blinked green and made a bing sound, meaning you were allowed in. You stepped inside the seemingly ill air and let the doors slide shut. "Woah!" You took one step forward and your feet made an echo sound throughout the whole room. The organism swished and swayed around in the tightly sealed capsule and you were mesmerized. The organism was so fascinating to you because it was unlike anything you had ever seen. Heck, no one has seen anything like this before. You bent down and watched the symbiote slide and crash against the glass, almost like it wanted to get out. "Hello there." You spoke to it in a soft tone. The organism didn't seem to understand you because it didn't do anything different. Not that you expected it to do anything, but you never know. "Hmm...you know what?" You asked it, not even caring if it didn't understand you. "I bet you don't like the name 'symbiote' do you?" The black organism splashed against the side of the capsule and you smiled. "I knew it!" You smiled, taking that as a yes. You stood straight up and held your chin. "Now, if I was going to name you something, what would it be?" This was more fun for you than anyone else. Besides, you liked talking to things that don't understand you or even stuffed animals. You don't have many friends, so you don't know what its like to have one. You wrote names out on your clip board and showed it to the symbiote. "Here, like any of these?" The black symbiote swished around in its own space and you frowned. "Not much of a talker, are you? Hmm...ok!" You put the clipboard down and studied it closer. "How about...goo? I like that name!" Like a viper, the symbiote shot at the glass, trying to kill you. "Wahhh!" You fell back on your butt and gasped form sudden shock. "Amazing!" You stood up, still shaky from the attempt on your life and you brushed yourself off. "You can understand me?" You got closer to it and wondered. "Or is it because you don't like the word goo?" The black symbiote acted normal again and you sighed, hanging your head down. "I can't win..." You mumbled. Then, you heard screams of pain, and you looked over to your right. You saw a man, with the light dark blue symbiote and you gasped holding your mouth. "No..." Tears started to swell in your eyes and you bit down on your teeth. "How could you, father?" The man was violently attacked by the symbiote and you gasped, watching his body being torn from the inside out. His limbs were thrown in every direction, regarding the usual rotation of any limb. He screamed in pain as his body was being altered in a manner you didn't even want to know. The man fell on the ground, dead, letting the light dark blue symbiote crawled out of the man's mouth and stomach. You cupped your mouth as tears rolled down your cheeks. "Monster...bastard..." You growled, balling your hand up in a fist. You saw your father, unamused by this and you could read his lips, giving orders to the assistants. "Bring in the next test subject." You gasped, as your eyes shot open and your mouth quivered with anger. "How...how could you do this? Not only to people, but to me!?" You growled and threw your clip board at the glass. The clip board bounced off the glass and you dropped to your knees, crying. "Why!? You can't use humans like that!" You pounded your fist into the ground and growled. "Dammit!" You shot up and wiped your tears away. "I have to stop him...I have to...but I can't do it alone..." You looked over at the symbiote, still acting normal. "I am sorry for my dad, I didn't ask for this and I'm sure you didn't either..." You got close to it and set your hand on the glass. "I promise, I will help you and your two friends out of here. But first, I'm going to need some help and I know just who to go to." You looked over at the other two symbiotes and looked back at the black one, and you took your hand away. "Nothing...you don't change much, do you?" You asked it. It just moved, and you sighed. "Alright then." You walked to the door and it slid open. You looked over your shoulder and smiled at the symbiote. "Thank you for listening, I think I like having you as a friend!" You left the room and sneaked past your dad to get upstairs, and you ran. "Time to end this dad, once and for all!"

...

The black symbiote swished side to side, studying you as you left the room. The yellow and black one slid over to the black symbiote and pawed at the window. The black symbiote looked over at its comrade and seemed to nod, in the sense of approval. The two symbiotes sat there, waiting for their chance to get out.
