Chapter Sixteen: Separation

You and Eddie stood in the lab, being bombarded with questions by Dan. "Eddie, this thing, it's killing you." <Do no listen to them Eddie, I can heal you!> Venom growled. "Wait, what?" "This parasite is-" <-Parasite!?> Venom screamed, making Eddie zip his mouth shut and mutter no under his breath as a warning. "No, no, don't say that." "It's killing you Eddie." You looked over at Eddie and squeezed your hand, scared. "V-Vai...are you killing me?" For a moment there was silence, and then a sigh, you stopped breathing. "Eddie..." You muttered with your last breath. Eddie looked over at you and you cupped your mouth, wanting to cry. You slowly removed your hand from your mouth and your lips quivered. "Are you killing us, Venom...?" Before he could think to respond you spun around in anger and screamed. "Answer me god dammit!" You stormed over to Eddie and seized his hand, crushing it in yours. Eddie flinched and Venom answered quickly, for his host's and his sake. <No, we are not!> Venom denied. "Vai are you killing me!?" You screamed in rage, crying. <N-no...> <Violence...you are...> Venom trailed off. <Shut up, Venom!> "Look, whatever this is we need to get rid of it!" Dan said. Eddie waved his hand in the air and grunted. "Look, me, Eddie, am I dying!?" Eddie screamed. <No!> You let go of Eddie's hand and growled at Dan, grinding your teeth together. There was a sudden urge to protect Eddie and Venom, but you couldn't explain it. "Touch me or him and I'll kill you." Eddie grabbed you by the shoulders and laughed. "Woah, woah, (Y/n), he won't hurt me." You growled and swatted his hand off you. You turned around and barred your fangs at him. "We do not mean you, Eddie! We mean Venom!" Your eyes became thick narrow yellow eyes and Anne looked over at the control panel. Eddie saw what she was doing and screamed. "No! Don't!" Anne hit the button and the high pitch noise started, causing you and Eddie to scream in pain. Eddie acted wild, kicking over stuff and hitting it. You held your ears and growled, running around the room, also destroying stuff. "Arrgh!!!" You and Eddie screamed, and in one final breath, you and your symbiotes split. You both shot across the room and your symbiotes shot against the wall, slithering down. Anne shut the door and Venom and Violence slithered around in the little room, contained. "You ok?" Dan asked, helping Eddie up. "Yeah, I'm good." You saw Violence tapping against the glass and Venom was on top of the glass starring at Eddie. "You were killing me!?" Eddie growled, limping over to Venom. "Well guess what, now you're dying to!" He pointed to the symbiote like he was scolding it and walked to the door. "Where do you think you're going?" Anne asked. "Anywhere but here." He said, closing the door. Anne tried to go after him, but Dan stopped her. "Anne, you're not just going to leave me alone with this thing, are you?" You watched Venom slide down the glass and you looked at him, seeing him weak and frail. "Venom..." Venom bubbled and hissed in pain and Violence was starting to slow down and turn solid, meaning she was dying. You knew that wasn't a good sign and you gasped, pounding your fist against the glass. "No! Let me in! I can't let them die! I promised!" You screamed, pounding the glass harder with your fist. Both Dan and Anne turned to you, stunned. You growled and looked over at the button, jumping for it. "No!" Dan caught you and held you back while you screamed and yelled. You thrashed around like and animal trying to get out of his hold. "No! Let me go! I promised them I would save them! I promised!!!" You screamed in tears, crying for Dan to let you go. Venom watched you, acting like an animal to try and hit that button. "No! You bastard!" You broke free and just as you raised your hand to hit the button Dan tackled you to the ground, pinning you to the floor. "No! Please! Let me save them! They mean everything to me! My father brought them here, I have to take them back home! I owe them my life! I am nothing without them! Please! Let me go!" You screamed in tears, pleading for Dan to let you go. It might have been because you were hysterical or perhaps the fact that you liked having powers. Whatever it was you just wanted them to be alive, there was no explanation for it. "(Y/n), what are you talking about?" Anne asked. You glared at her with fierce eyes and growled. "My father is the reason why they're here! It's my fault! I have to stop him! I'll do anything it takes to stop him! Even if that means they kill me in response! Now, let me go! Please!" You wailed, seeing Violence go numb. Venom watched you, remembering your words to him and Violence. ("...I guess I can't blame you, if I was taken away from where I belonged, I would want to kill whoever took me away to. But trust me, I'm on your side, I want to end this madness before it gets worse.") You screamed and thrashed around, trying to hit the button. Your hand was so close to hitting it, but Dan pushed it back down. "Let me go!" You screamed in rage, now growing aggressive. ("This is unforgivable, using you and people as test subjects. I will fix this, don't worry.") You bit Dan's arm and he yelped, letting you go. You struggled to get up, but that didn't stop you. You leaped for the button, but missed and fell on your face, crying. "Dammit!" You screamed, slowly calming down and crying silently. "Look, I'm going after Eddie, I'll be back." Anne ran out the door in a hurry and Dan shouted after her. "With this thing!?" He sighed and stood up, watching you cry. "Why do you care for those parasites so much?" You raised your head, showing your bloody and red face. "Because...I want to kill my father with them. They are everything to me...I...I need them..." You whispered in shock, sudden realization hitting you like a punch in the face. "What?" Venom couldn't take it anymore and climbed up the wall, crawling into the air vent. You saw him out of the corner out of your eye and you looked up at the ceiling trying to pinpoint where he was. "Venom!?" You got up and sniffled, looking around for him. "Who?" Dan asked. "Oh, right!" You pushed Dan out the door and locked it shut, hearing him pounding on the door, screaming at you to open it. "Hehe! Sorry, no can do!" You heard something snap and you looked up, seeing a black blob land on your face. "Ahhhh! Get it off me!" You pulled on it, but it bit your hands and entered your body, making you smile nervously. "Holy crap...Venom, could you have landed on me any worse?" You asked, shaking your head. <We could have, but we thought better of it.> You smirked and shook your head, laughing. "You are a joke, you know that?" You saw Violence and you rushed over to the glass, making a fist. "Venom!" Venom made your hand a huge black fist and in one swing you punched the glass open, braking it into little pieces. "Vai!" You cheered, seeing her moving a little. You rushed over to her and held her in your arms. "Come on, bond with me already, do it!" Violence attached a fragment of herself to you, but not fully. "Vai!" You yelled in anger. <I am inside of you, we will fuse if we combine in the same body.> "Urmph!" Violence was looking healthier and you smiled, laughing. <She says she is sorry for eating your insides.> "What!? You really were!?" You screamed, dropping her. Venom panicked and pushed you down to pick her back up, but you fought against him. <No! She now realizes she was wrong, pick her up!> Venom said. You watched her wither a bit until you picked her up. "Ok, explain." You ordered. <Violence saw you as food when she first met you, same with me and Eddie. However, as time passed, I didn't see Eddie as food anymore...but I think Violence never changed her mind. Although, after your fit of rage she now sees how much you care for her.> Venom explained. "How does that make sense? Why did she see me as food in the first place?" Venom inhaled and waited a moment before speaking. <Violence is like you, she is seen as nothing more than a simple tool, a weapon on our planet. She thought that if that was the only way we would see her, then why bother trying to fix it? But...once she merged with you, she found someone she could relate to. She didn't think that a mere human like you could relate to her...that is why she tried eating you from the inside. She was conflicted with you, not understanding how someone else could relate to her. Perhaps, she saw too much of herself in you and wanted to escape it.> Venom explained. You took a few minutes to absorb everything Venom had said and slowly nodded. You licked your dry lips and sighed, holding your head down. "So...that's why you did that?" Violence raised her head with the last bit of energy she had. "Because we're to similar?" You lifted your head back up and smiled at her. "That's nothing to be ashamed of, you know. It's true, sometimes I wish I could escape myself to, but we can't. Vai, I'm glad I met you and Venom, in fact I am overjoyed. You two have helped me plunge my father's name into the dark and stain it in his own blood. If you weren't here we wouldn't have come this far...I guess what I'm trying to say is...I'm am honored to be your host and I am happy that you're my symbiote." Violence was at a loss of words, not that she could speak. For the first time Violence truly felt bonded to you by will and not by chains. She slipped around your arm and slid to your neck, wrapping around it like a rope. "Ugh...Venom?" You nervously blurted. <Don't look at me.> He said. Violence sunk into your skin and you gasped, feeling her pushing into your neck. "Hey, Vai, stop!" You yelled, trying to grab her before she went any further. Violence had merged with your body again, feeling comfortable and relaxed. You, however, felt the opposite. "V-Vai get out of me! I don't want you and Venom to fuse or anything crazy!" You screamed. <Relax, I would never fuse, more or less touch something as foul as him.> Violence hissed. You shook your head and rubbed your neck. "W-what? Venom, I thought you said that you would merge." You said. <The possibility of that happening is by our own free will. Venom just said that so he could have you all to himself.> You felt your stomach jump and your palms feeling clammy. <Urgh!> Venom grunted, and Violence purred with pleasure. <Am I wrong~?> <Shut up, you're the one who ate her insides!> Venom countered. <And you're the one who bonded with her before I ever did, I guess we could call that even.> You scratched your head and moaned in discomfort. "When did I ever bond with Venom?" You asked. <When you first met him, as a symbiote and nothing more. He bonded with you before I had the chance. You seemed to have taken a liking to him and made a stable foundation revolving around your relationship.> Venom rolled his eyes and growled. <In other words, you befriended us before Violence had the chance.> You held your chin and snickered, rubbing your neck in embarrassment. "Hehehe...I guess I did." <But we're getting off track, we need to go after Eddie.> Venom said. "Yeah!" You cheered, running out the door.
