Kayesha's POV
Nagising ako kanina dahil sa malakas na pagtawag ni Manang Lice.
Time smoothly passed, and now, we are all standing here inside the abandoned building.
While standing here, I reminisce about what happened before we went here.
Nagtipon kami sa living room.
Nang nagising ako ay tuluyan nang kinain ng dilim ang liwanag.
Sabi nila ay sandali raw muna kaming mag-uusap-usap.
Kung paano sila nakauwi ay hindi ko rin alam.
"Sa wakas makakabalik na rin tayo sa Dark Kingdom," nasabi ni Kylene. She let out a sigh of relief, "Miss na miss ko na sila Papa at Mama," pigil niya ang boses sa pagbasag.
"Me, either. After so many years makababalik na rin tayo," sabi naman ni Suzy, voice sounds longing.
"Years?" nagtataka kong tanong. Just how long were they searching for me?
"Yes, princess. We've been to Canada, Germany, Japan, Korea, and countries I can no longer recall the name of. We've been searching for you for less or more than eight years," said Eros.
"Searching for you cost us the freedom to be with our family. It was draining, but everything seems to be worth it now that we found you, princess," with mixed emotions in her voice, Suzy uttered.
"We were 11 years old when the King and Queen gave us a very important task. A mission. And that was to find you," sabi ni Kurt, looking like reminiscing the day they shouldered the weight of such a task at a young age.
"Sigurado akong miss na miss ka na ng mga magulang mo, princess," sabi naman ni Kylene.
That took my attention.
Parents?
"I have a family there?" I asked, my voice can barely produce any sound.
They all nodded in unison.
With determination, I've decided.
"I'll go back with you."
After letting out those five words, a pair of arms snaked around my neck. Kylene hugged me while sobbing.
I saw Suzy wipe her cheeks, and how the boys shifted their gazes.
They've been longing for their family's presence.
I know how they feel. Among us, it is me who knows it best. I know how hard it is.
Sobrang bigat sa dibdib knowing that because of me, they feel terrible every single day. At mukha pang tinatago na lang nila sa isa't-isa ang lungkot na nararamdaman.
Believing that they have to be strong for each other made them weaker inside... and it's all because of me.
After all, ako talaga palagi ang may kasalanan.
"Salamat, Kayesha. Sa wakas makikita ko na sila," with glimmering tears in her eyes running down her cheeks, Kylene sincerely thanked me.
I don't exactly know what to do. Si Kylene lang ang umiiyak, but every one of them looks so vulnerable, so fragile at the moment.
"No problem. Cheer up, you guys. We're all going home now," I flashed an encouraging smile na sinuklian din nila ng matatamis na ngiti.
"I'll have to take my leave. I need to do some managing," I stood up and took the stairs going up.
I have to settle things here before leaving for good. I'll hire someone from the upper management group to manage the company well. My right-hand man from the underground will observe things and take care of anyone in the way who will try to take down the company without my supervision.
This house and other personal properties will go under Manang Lice's care.
Now, we are all going home.
"Hoy!" nabalik ako sa kasalukuyan nang marinig ang sigawan nila.
"Suzy, ikaw na ang gumawa ng portal, bakit ba kayo nagtutulakan," utos ni Eros.
Kinumpas niya ang kamay. Maya-maya lang ay may pabilog nang lagusan.
Habang unti-unting nakikita ang mga kakayahan nila ay mas lalo ko lang nasasabing hindi nga kami normal kung ikukumpara sa ibang tao.
"Pumasok ka na, Kayesha," Kurt gestured the portal.
On the other side is a dark forest.
Nang makasunod na sa akin ang apat ay sabay-sabay na kaming naglakad.
After a very long time of walking, a festive kingdom greeted us.
The place and people are very far from what I expected. No one can blame me for thinking na nagpapatayan ang mga tao dito, kasi naman Dark Kingdom ang tawag nila. So I expected "dark".
"We are home," nasabi ni Suzy habang pinagmamasdan ang paligid.
"Welcome to the Dark Kingdom, Princess Helliana," Eros addressed. And when I turned around I saw them bowing their heads as they give me a sweet smile.
"Helliana?" I asked.
Eros nodded, "Your real name is Helliana."
The nerdy role I play is now saying goodbye.
I removed the pair of big eyeglasses and fixed my messy hair. The contacts remained.
I'm home.
