Kayesha's POV
Ginising ako ng tumatamang sinag ng araw sa mukha ko.
Without bothering to fix my beddings, I went straight to the bathroom to do my morning routine.
After freshening up my body, I wore a robe and stepped out of the bathroom.
Nadatnan ko si Mom na inaayos ang kama ko.
I slightly flinched, "Mom? Ey, leave that to me," sabi ko.
Seeing how things are slowly changing... I feel like I can now slowly be that person I was before. One step at a time. I can do that.
"This is nothing. After so many years, gusto kong bumawi sa mga bagay na hindi ko nagawa for you," she said as she place my pillows on the upper side of the bed. "I want to be the mom you deserve," she looked at me and smiled.
I sighed, but later let out a weak smile.
There was hesitation inside me, nevertheless, I walked near my mom and hugged her on the side.
She just tapped my back and I stepped back.
Pipili na sana ako ng susuotin, nang may inabot si mama sa akin na... g-gown?
The fudge...?
"Mom, I can't wear gowns. Makati, eh," hindi ko napigilang reklamo. My right leg is not even staying still.
"Okay, then," she pointed to a black dress na nasa single sofa. "You should at least wear that one."
It looks comfy but classy and glamorous, so I have no objection.
"I'll leave you para magbihis. Sumunod ka na lang sa baba, ah?" bilin ni Mommy.
Pagkatapos kong isuot ang inihandang damit ni Mommy, bumababa na ako.
As I am walking down the wide stairway with a very royalty theme, I looked around.
Ang masasabi ko lang, sobrang lawak at laki ng kastilyo namin.
"Good morning, princess Helliana."
"Good morning."
"Good morning, princess."
Mga pagbabati nila sa akin. There are sweet smiles everywhere I pan my head. Everyone's so welcoming and warm.
"I prefer you calling me Kayesha," I ordered, instinctively using a cold and very dull tone. They all seemed scared and panicking, causing them to be timid and quiet.
Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, I just made a very unpleasant impression.
Nang makarating sa dining area, nadatnan ko sila Mom and Dad na kumain ng almusal.
"Helliana, anak, samahan mo na kaming kumain ng mommy mo," aya ni Dad. Tumango lang ako at umupo sa bakanteng upuan.
"Anak, may pupuntahan tayo," sabi nila which I just also responded with a nod.
Pagkatapos kong mag-almusal, pumunta muna ako sa kwarto, tutal mamaya pa naman kami pupunta kung saan man 'yon.
Naglakad ako patungo sa closet.
"WHAT THE?!" parang pinagbagsakan ako ng langit at lupa.
Bakit wala na? Sa'n na sila? Lintik naman, oh!
Habang kinakain ako ng frustration, I heard the door creak open.
"Princess, ano po ang nangyari?" tanong ng humahangos na katulong.
