Ansel Pov:

I'm going to Violetta's apartment to tell her it's over.

I'm not going to say exactly why, probably just along the lines of 'Our hectic schedules are pulling us apart.' not the truth; 'I'm getting bored and sick of you.'

Sounds harsh but it's the truth.

I knock on her door.

She opens it immediately.

"Oh, Ansel. I wasn't expecting you!" Violetta says awkwardly.

I step inside.

"Who were you expecting?" I ask.

She stutters, "Um, no, no one!"

"Alright then?" I say.

I sit on her couch and clap my hands together.

"Look I'm sorry about my behaviour the other day, but what it showed me was how tired I'm getting. Not of you, but of my schedule and I think it would be wise if we broke up." I say.

She looks at me, eyes wide. "Um, yeah. Okay.Yeah and I don't want to distract you from your career." She says.

I stand up, "You're taking this surprisingly well." I say, slightly suspicious.

Knock, knock, knock.

I look at Violetta and she looks panicked.

"Who's that?" I ask gesturing at the door.

"No one, Ansel. Hey, here's a fun idea how about you leave through the fire escape?" She says, trying to make it sound fun.

"Um, how about I just go through the door?" I ask.

"Becaus-" Violetta started.

It was too late. I was already at the door. I opened it to reveal a tall blonde guy with green eyes.

"Who are you?" He asks, gruffly.

"I was about to ask you the same question." I say, looking down at him.

"Uh I'm Danny. Violetta's boyfriend." He tells me.

I turn round and give her the dirtiest look I could conjure. "Pfft. Have fun with that." I gesture to Violetta who is standing speechless behind me.

I push past Danny.

He calls after me, "Oi! I asked who you were."

I turn round, "Look, I don't want to go to prison and you don't want to go to hospital, so, back off."

I turn around and walk away.

That bitch has been cheating on me with a sivvy.

That's fantastic for my self esteem.

Sally's Pov:

My eyes flicker open and I turn to the bed next to me, checking if Lucy's there. She isn't.

I sit up and check if Maddy's in her bed. She isn't either.

I get up and walk to the kitchen.

Maddy, Lucy and Maddy's older brother Lawrence are sitting at the table talking quietly.

Lawrence notices me and gestures for me to sit down.

I sit next to Lucy.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"How we actually got to the Insurgent premier and stuff." Maddy explains.

I nod.

"So, Where did you get the money for this?" Lawrence asks us.

"We had been planning it before Christmas so I put all my Christmas and birthday money together and collected £365." Lucy says.

"Wow. what the hell?"

"We all just asked for money." I tell him.

Maddy nods.

"How much did you collect Maddy?" He asks her.

"£310" She says.

He raises his eyebrows.

"Well, I can't fault your plan. It was pretty genius...and dangerous but that's by the by! Who came up with it?" He asks.

"Me!" Lucy says, proudly.

He smiles at her as there is a knock at the door.

Lawrence gets up and answers it.

After a minute he calls, "Lucy, it's your Dad."

She gives Maddy and I a worried look and gets up. She walks to the door.

Lawrence walks back in and gives us a worried look too. "He doesn't look too happy!" He tells us.

After 2 minutes I hear Lucy say, "Oh my gosh, Dad! We didn't die and I accomplished one of my dreams. Why aren't you happy?!"

After another 2 minutes she walks back in, smiling.

I give her a confused look.

"Oh come on, I can play that man like a fiddle when I want to." She whispers.

Maddy shakes her head and laughs, "That's so unfair!"

She shrugs and grabs her bags.

She waved us goodbye and walks out after thanking Maddy's mum for having her.

Maddy's mum walks into the kitchen.

"Why did Lucy leave so early?" I ask.

"Early?!" She chuckles, "it's 12:30!"

"Ohh." I say. "What time are my parents coming?"

"They should be here in about 5 minutes." She tells me.

I gulp and look at my feet.

I can't play my parents like Lucy can. I'm going to be grounded for like 2 years.

There is another knock at the door. I look at Maddy and Lawrence in panick. They both shrug.

Maddy's mum answers the door and silently follow.

My mum is standing behind the door looking a bit peeved.

"Hello Jenny." Maddy's mum says.

"Hello!" She smiles, her expression changing.

She looks at me and her smile fades.

"Grab your bags, let's go." She demands.

I nod and scuttle off to get my bags.

I wave to Maddy and Lawrence and leave with my mum.

When we get in the car she sighs, "Okay then. Where were you?"

"In London." I say quietly.

"London?! Why?" She shrieks.

"The Insurgent Premier." I explain quietly.

I won't meet her gaze.

"Divergent." She sighs.

I nod.

She starts the car and we begin to drive home. I have a feeling the worst is yet to come...
