Realisation

3 days later

Sally's Pov:

So I got grounded for 3 weeks after using these excuses:

'But I achieved one of my life goals'

'I survived though!'

'I did use my own money.'

'We planned it out so nothing would go wrong.'

'We were in group.'

'Lucy knows self defence!'

'I met some of my favourite celebrities, and your mad?'

'You wouldn't let me take a chance in a lifetime!'

And

'I love you.'

The argument lasted about an hour but I eventually got off fairly lightly with 3 weeks.

Lucy got 1 week and a 'talking to', Maddy 2 weeks and I got 3 weeks.

Oh well.

I get out my phone and check Instagram.

Ansel had just posted a picture of him with a link below to his twitter account for a video.

I click on it and it loads up his twitter page.

The video starts playing:

Ansel starts the video by waving.

He then says, "Okay guys. I'm not going to tell you exactly what happened but I feel like I want to tell you personally that," he sighs, "Violetta and I broke up." He looks down and puts his head in his hands. He sniffs and looks back at the camera. He opens his mouth to say something and then closes it again.
After a minute of him just staring at the camera he says, "Okay. Thanks guys. Have a nice day." He smiles weakly and the video ends.

I feel a tugging at my gut. It's so sad to see him that way. Although I don't actually know him very well, I feel like I do.

My parents walk into my room.

I shut off my phone and look at them.

"Sally, we aren't angry at you." My mum begins.

"Are you sure? Seemed like it earlier." I say.

"I know, we were just shocked and confused. Weren't we?" She says looking at my Dad.

He nods.

"Am I still grounded?" I ask quietly.

My dad sighs, "No."

"Thank you..." I mumble.

"That's okay, sweetie. Get some rest." Mum says and walks out.

My Dad follows.

When they shut the door happiness flows through me!

I dance about and hug my Ansel Elgort poster.

Yes!

I open my DM and message Ansel;

Hi Ansel.

It's Sally Nash. I know you probably won't get to read this, but incase you do I just want to say sorry. I'm sorry you and Violetta broke up. I know I'm just a fan but I do care about you and wish you all the happiness in the world. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here.

I send the message and go for a shower. Replaying the last 48hours events in my head.

Ansel Pov:

After posting the video to explain to my fans what happened I'm getting ALOT more Dm's.

And I thought I had loads before...

I flick through them, checking if there's actually anyone I know sending me Dm's.

I swirl my finger and click on a random one.

It's from a girl named Kira.

To sum it up she basically says, Thats she loves me and I shouldn't let anyone put me down, also could I follow her?
Not really a true fan...nevermind.

I swirl my finger round again and click.

It's from another girl, but I girl I know.

It's from Sally.
I don't really know Sally but I have grown to like her.
The way she dresses, her eyes, her interests.
Mesmerising, really.

I look at the message she sent me.
I smile when I finished reading.
'I know I'm just a fan.'

Not for long...I think to myself.
