Sally Pov:

I don't think he recognises me.

He looks at me blankly for a few seconds then turns back to his coffee.

Lucy gives me a confused look. I shrug.

"How's buissness, grandma?" Levi asks the woman behind the counter.

"Well, we've only got Ansel in right now!" She sighs.

My suspicions on the boy being Ansel, confirmed.

"Where's Ansel?!" Levi asks.

"In the corner." The woman points.

"Ansel!" Levi shouts.

Ansel looks over and his eyes light up, "Oh, hey Levi!"

Levi looks at Lucy and I, "Hey, guys meet Ansel."

Levi ushers us towards Ansel.

"Ansel, this is Lucy." Levi says gesturing to Lucy.

She smiles.

"Hey." Ansel says.

"And this is Sally."

Ansel looks at me sharply. He lingers on me for a while before shaking his head, "Hi Sally."

Does he recognise me slightly?

I nod and smile awkwardly.

A girl with short brown hair suddenly bursts into the shop.

She rushes over to the table, "So I'm late. So sorry. Baby, I'm sorry. Ansel, sorry." she says in a fluster.

Ansel stands up, "I've been waiting a bloody hour."

"I'm so sorry!" Her almost orange eyes glinting.

Ansel sighs, "We'll talk later, yeah?"

Ansel walks out of the shop.

The girl turns to look at us.

"Uh, Sally, Lucy, this is my older sister Skye." Levi says.

"Hello." Lucy and I say simultaneously.

"Hey." She sighs.

"Why were you late? Ansel seemed very upset about it." Levi asks.

"Can you not be so nosey? Basically just shut up, you little weasel." Skye glares at Levi.

"God, no need to be a bitch." Levi says under his breath.

Lucy orders a pumpkin latte and we head back home.

We see Ansel waiting at a bus stop.

Levi walks over to him.

"You alright?" Levi asks.

"I will be at yours round 8:30, okay?" Ansel answers simply.

"Okay, see you later."

"Bye."

~3 days later~

It's my first day working in Beano's.

"You'll be fine." Lucy says as she walks me to the cafe.

"Yeah it's really quiet, anyway." Levi says.

I shrug.

"So is Ansel a regular?" I ask.

"Yeah. He's the only regular actually. He likes it because it's quiet. I mean there a couple other regulars, but they only show up twice a week."
