Sally's Pov:

We decide to invite Levi with us. Levi told us to meet him at Skye's apartment near Beanos.

On our way over Alex spots Skye about 100m ahead of us.

Skye looks slightly panicked or scared.

I gasp as I watch her step into road, a truck plows towards her.

Alex brakes into a run straight away.

Lucy and Maddy follow him. I freeze to my spot, helpless. I know they won't make it in time.

The truck blares it's horn at her. Skye looks round, for a second she pauses before throwing herself back onto the pavement.

Another second and she would've been dead.

I run after the others who've almost reached Skye.

Skye puts her hands on her knees and drops to the ground.

I catch up with the others and we make it and she hits the floor.

"Skye!" Alex yells.

She's without a scratch but clearly shaken up.

"Oh..you guys." Skye smiles and scans the group.

Her eyes flick to me and her eyes darken and her smile fades.

Have I done something wrong?

"What the bloody hell were you thinking? Did not see the huge truck before you stepped into the road?!" Alex asks grabbing her by the shoulders and pulling her up.

Skye closes her eyes for a moment. She scratches the side of her nose, "No."

Lucy and I exchange a glance. We both know touching your nose is a sign of lying.

"You need to go to specsavers or something?" Alex asks.

"Leave me alone, Alex." Skye says suddenly.

Alex looks hurt and steps away from her.

Skye's eyes connect with mine momentarily, they look ashamed. Skye looks down at her shoes then walks the opposite way to her home.

"Skye!" Alex calls after her.

Alex looks at Maddy, she shrugs.

"Let's go get Levi." Lucy says.

"Missing him, ayy?" I ask, trying to perk up the mood.

"I appreciate your attempt to brighten up the mood but shut up." Lucy says.

I laugh.

We cross the road and Levi is waiting outside Skye's building.

"Your sister..." Alex sighs as we walk up to him.

Lucy stamps on Alex's foot.

"Ow, what are you standing on my foot for?" He asks her.

Lucy gives him a warning glare.

"What?!" Alex asks.

Lucy rolls her eyes.

Alex may be nice and funny but, he sure isn't the brightest bulb in the shop.

"Wait, what about my sister?" Levi asks.

"She almost got hit by a truck..." I say carefully.

"By any chance did she walk into the road and then jump out the way at the last second?" Levi asks.

"Yeah...thats exactly what she did?" Lucy says.

"Guys, it's okay. She used to do that sometimes, to try and scare me when we used to walk home from school as a joke." He laughs.
