(Law X Child! Luffy) Jesus why did I warp something so cute for no reason???

Groaning into his blankets, Law shifted underneath the sheets before twisting over to face the clock on his nightstand.

Two sleep deprived, lazy orbs zoomed in on the burning red letters that glowed through the darkness of his bedroom and caused him to groan.

'6:45'

Ugh, he only had fifteen minutes before he had to drag his ass up for his morning walk.

Rolling back over to where he couldn't see the cursed digits, letting his eyes rest, the teenager contemplated on whether keeping fit was so much more important than getting an extra hour of rest.

...Yes, yes it was.

Moaning in annoyance, he cracked a silver eye open and glared at his calendar.

Thank god for weekends, and to make it even better his stupid teachers didn't hand any homework down on him either, all he had to do today was the usual morning jog and focus on his medical studies.

Once the stupid alarm finally pricked the air with its screeching, Law silenced it with a firm fist before wiggling himself out of bed.

Half heartedly throwing on his closest source of clothing- a baggy red coat that he more often threw to the side on most days, Law melted into the thick material, trying to absorb the warmth.

Wandering nearly less awake than asleep, the morning didn't quite start yet until his first cup of coffee was drained.

Now he was awake.

Today wasn't really supposed to be different really, just a walk around the neighborhood using the same route he always did, through the crossroads, around the corner store, past the small playground.

But for just the hell of it, Law felt like taking a small stop at the playground- really, it wasn't like he had anything better to do once he got back to his apartment.

So there he was, basking in the briskly cold air of a September morning, leaning on a half rusted swingset like some moody delinquent.

The playground was completely vacant at this time save for him- him and the sudden feeling of eyes boring into his head.

Glancing down, Law blinked seeing a lone child bundled in fluffy white and yellow.

The little boy was no doubt around five tops, dressed in thick clothes, he was no doubt quite warm with the exception of his little red nose, brown shining orbs shaded by wild black strands stared unblinking at him.

All in all, the kid was the perfect image of a child every mother would want to show off.

For a moment Law was stunned into silence, he was sure the playground was empty, where was the kid's parents?

The child didn't move, nor did he turn away, though Law knew he was alive with the small foggy puffs that loudly huffed through his nostrils.

"..Hey!" Law blinked when the child spoke to him- a complete stranger, unafraid.

"Are you Little Red Riding Hood?"

It took Law a moment to process it, who the fu- ah, suddenly he was reminded of the cutesy fairytales Rocinante would tell him as bedtime stories.

Little Red Riding Hood, the girl draped in red and traveling to grandma's house with baked goods.

How cute..
