Diamonds and Gems

chapter two

No ones POV

You looked at the young boy named Steven, it was obvious he was about to cry but blinked the tears away. You then started speaking.

"Yes Steven, i know-...knew your mother, she wanted to protect me when white diamond wanted to.....shatter me."

"Why would white do this?" pearl asked in a soft tone

(this is before the episode where white almost killed steven) "White lives in her own perfect little world, she wants everything to be just as perfect as she is, and well..I was not, so she tried to shatter me, multiple times." You explained

"How were you not perfect? Aren't all diamonds supposed to be perfect?" amethyst said

"White diamond can create wonderful things, she can heal the hurt or corrupted diamonds and make, so to say, miracles happen, me...well I'm the complete opposite. I was created to destroy, hurt or corrupt gems or anything that comes to cross my path, to shatter those who disobeyed, those who were like Rose, who were disobedient, but i never wanted that, i didn't do what I was supposed to and she thought I wasn't perfect so my i needed to be shattered.

But I fled, alongside Rose. We came to earth in different gem ships, as we came down to your planet i erased all memory of me, but something happened as the ship entered the stratosphere. I accidentally erased Roses memories too, at least thats what i think, seeing as she never came to look for me, then had you Steve.

My ship crashed in the ocean, i do not know where she had landed, nor could i try to escape my ship. She lived her life while I was stuck under water, im not sure for how long exactly, trying to fix the ship, but it was hard because I was weak and couldn't use my powers, I also have the right tools to assist me. But I finally managed to fix it and escape" You answered.

They didn't say anything further, you turned your head and faced Garnet.

"Fascinating, I've never seen a fragile sapphire and dangerous ruby create such a...beautiful fusion." You said looking at her. She blushed a bit, hardly even noticeable and turned her head away, You, of course, didn't mean it in a romantic way, you just haven't seen a fusion of a sapphire and ruby that looked so strong and independent yet soft and sweet at the same time, ever, she was magnificent.

You then studied the other gems and the human.

Steven blinked the rest of his tears away and went back to being the happy-go-lucky kid he usually is and started speaking, loudly

"Do you wanna live with us?!" He asked

"What? Steven you can't just let some random person live with us" pearl replied

"But Pearl! He's a Diamond! He can't go to homeworld because of white and he needs a place to stay, please!" He asked

Pearl looked at Garnet and Amethyst

"I'm ok with it" Garnet said

"Yeah, it'll be fun Pearl!" Amethyst yelled

You looked at Pearl, you did need a place to stay. She looked at you then the others and finally gave in and agreed. Everyone gave a little cheer and told you to follow then to the house, as you did a pink lion came out of nowhere and jumped onto you, making you fall onto the ground with a thud, the lion started licking at your face, you sat up and pet the lion

You walked up the steps and into the house after the gems and human. You looked around and saw a warp pad, you walked closer to it and saw a door behind it, you knew what that door was for, you and rose used to have one on home world that you shared, you stepped closer to it and it started to crack, from the cracks came a black liquid that took shape of the star the door then began to crack creating a look of a shattered window peaced together with black liquid forming to look like glue sticking it together.

The door then opened, you looked back to everyone, they were staring at you with wonder, they never knew that there was another room apart from theirs so this was something new, you walked inside remembering how you and rose used your rooms to hide from white, blue or yellow, back when white wasn't so powercrazy. You smiled and the room started changing, you were now on homeworld. Everything was normal, you looked around and saw Pink

She smiled and came over to you

"(Y/n), where have you been? Oh You should have been here, yellow let me have my own colony! Oh I'm so excited!" She yelled with joy.

You knew it wasn't real, just a memory, her colony was a failure but she was happy. You smiled at the memory of her but your expression changed once she did.

Her bright pink exterior turned a pale grey, her smile now only a straight line, her gem started cracking and tears fell from her eyes, she was in pain, you didn't know how, this was your room, your happy place, you didn't think of this to happen, it just did. You looked at pink again and she started speaking but it wasn't her voice, it was whites voice.

"Hello (y/n), did you honestly think I would forget about you? How was your life on earth? I didn't think you'd ever come in here again." She stated

"How? This is MY room, its impossible for you to be in here!" You yelled back at her

"Oh but (y/n), as long as your diamond is cracked, i am more powefull than you are" she said

"H-how did you know my diamond is cracked?" You asked.

You knew your diamond had cracked just a bit due to the rough landing when you came to earth but not even rose knew it was cracked since you've been in that ship all these years

"I have my ways (y/n), now enjoy your time on earth, it won't be long before i send someone to find and shatter your diamond completely then ill find rose quartz and shatter her for what she did to pink" she said

After that sentence Pink turned pink again and continued talking about her new colony, but you weren't listening, you were thinking about White, she was right, with your cracked diamond she is more powerful than you are, and if she finds you then she might shatter the other gems too, including the Steven.

You need to find a way to fix your gem before she sends someone out to shatter you or worse, she comes here.

You swallowed the lump in your throught and walked out of the room, the room's colour fading and turning completely white again, the door closed behind you, you looked at everyone who were now sitting around the table playing cards, they looked at you and you only said one sentence:

"White diamond is coming to shatter my diamond and she'll do the same to you if she finds you" you didn't really care about your own diamond, more about theirs.
