Second thoughts

Tom Riddle POV:

Fire was catching.

Everyone was running around screaming.

Okay Tom you can do this. In desperate times desperate measures are in order

"Immobulus!" I shouted and everything froze.

"Obilviate!" I said to each person in the room.

I undid the Immobulus spell and everyone started screaming again.

All those mud-bloods in here deserved what they got if you ask me.

"Everyone get outside!" The teacher yelled over the screaming students.

I smirked and dragged myself outside the classroom.

I was dripping wet from the aguamenti spell Greengrass threw at me.

Now thinking of Greengrass, where was she?

She must be still inside the classroom.

Hardly thinking why I did it, I ran inside the classroom.

Fire was everywhere and teachers were desperately trying to put it out.

I saw Greengrass laying limp in the corner, her hair white as snow.

There were several burns on her body and bits of glass sticking out of her flesh.

I gritted my teeth.

Should I or should I not.

This girl has secrets that I want to know and I'm not going to find out if she's dead.

I felt sparks shoot through my hands as I scooped her lifeless body up and ran outside with her.

I should take her to the Hospital Wing I thought. She is losing blood.

I ignored the tingling sensation as I carried her towards help.

I looked down at her.

Karen looked cute asleep. I brushed hair out of her face and got a good look at her face.

She was very pretty looking at her now.

Soft skin, full lips, small freckles dotted around her face and- NO! Stop thinking about her Tom!

"Madam Pomfrey!" I yelled. "You've got a new patient!"

Madam Pomfrey turned to look at me and gasped.

"Put her down here!" She commanded gesturing to a bed.

I laid her down carefully on a sick bed.

"I've got patients to heal Tom so you'll need to go now. You can visit her later." Madam Pomfrey checked Karen's pulse.

I nodded and left the Hospital Wing.

Wait! For last few minutes I had been calling her Karen! Greengrass not Karen. Greengrass not Karen!

What is this pathetic, weak, stupid excuse of a girl doing to me?
