"Hello?" I croaked.

I looked at my surroundings. I was lying in a hospital bed with curtains drawn around me.

A lady parted the curtains and gaped at me.

"You're awake!" She said.

"Ur yes... Who are you?" I looked to her curiously.

"I'm Madam Pomfrey- the Hospital Wing's matron."

I nodded. "Okay."

"Dinner is taking place currently. You must be starving! Would you like to go or rest?" She asked me.

"I'm rather hungry so I guess I'll go." I smiled at her a hopped out of bed.

My legs gave way and I fell to the ground.

"Are you sure you want to go?" Madam Pomfrey said anxiously.

"I'm sure." I got up and stretched my legs. "See I can walk perfectly now."

"Here's some robes." She handed me some clothes which I took gratefully.

"Odd looking aren't they?" I inspected.

"I suppose?" She furred her eyebrows. "Are you a muggle-born?"

"A what?"

"Muggle-born. You know. Non-magical parents?"

I shook my head "Ha ha. Very funny. I'll just get changed now."

I hid behind the curtain to change into the uncomfortable clothes.

"I'm ready. Can you show to dinner?"

"Of course dear. You're new aren't you? Well, before you went into the coma." She babbled.

"Um... Yes. Can we go now?" I said quickly, ignoring everything said by her.

Madam Pomfrey nodded and gestured for me to follow her

There seemed to be some kind of party going on as everyone was dancing and dressed in weird costumes.

The walls were coloured orange and black which meant it was probably Halloween

As I walked everyone turned to look at me while the music still blared very loudly in the background.

What was with everyone?

"Karen! You're alright!" a girl with long black hair and dressed as a ghost ran to me.

My eyes waved to her. "Who?" I looked behind me to see who she was talking to.

"Karen? This isn't funny!" She put her hands on her hips.

"Am I Karen?" I looked around to make sure she was talking to me.

Everyone's eyes widened.

Madam Pomfrey put a hand to her mouth and shook her head worriedly.

I looked around awkwardly.

"Are those floating candles?" I gasped looking up.

"Karen what's with you?" The girl narrowed her eyes at me.

"I don't know who Karen is and I certainly don't know who you are or where I am so can please tell me what the hell's going on?!" I yelled.

"Karen maybe you should lie down?" A girl in a white dress called to me who I think was dressed as an angel.

"I just woke up!" I retorted.

While those closest to me continued to stare the others drifted off and started dancing again.

"Karen do you know I am?" The ghost-girl asked timidly.

"Sorry no." I rubbed my eyes. "Where am I?"

"Hogwarts, duh!" The ghost-girl rolled her eyes.

"Hog- what now?" I raised one eyebrow.

"Hogwarts of course!" The angel-girl crossed her arms.

"You know-the school of magic which you..." A handsome boy in a tux drifted off "...don't remember."

Magic? What the hell. They were just kidding, right? Magic doesn't exist.

The people round me exchanged glances.

"What?" I demanded.

They started whispering among themselves.

Madam Pomfrey laid a hand on my shoulder before approaching a man with a short beard who looked as he was over fifty.

"Hello! Can someone explain what's going on?" I scanned to see if anyone heard me but they were too busy thinking what to do with me most likely.

All this was doing my head in-the music was too loud.

Who were all these people? They were dressed in funny outfits and claimed to be in a school of magic. I must be going mad.

I crawled to a corner of the room and covered my face in my hands and cried.

My head felt like it was going to implode.

I sat there shaking while everyone crowded round yet again.

Some took out some sticks from there pockets.

What were they thinking? Were they going to poke me or something?

A tear ran down my cheek as I looked up to see the fifty-year-old man wave his stick at me.

Some heavy metal song was playing which hurt my ears.

The banging of each drum beat only got louder and louder as my world went blank.
