Chapter 5 ~ A new house. No. Make that home.

We had gathered everything into the moving truck and were on our way.

Gerard was sitting in the back seat of the car, next to me. I looked over at him. He was gazing out of the window, at the sky. He looked back at me and smiled, weakly, but then turned to continue looking out the window. He leaned his head so that it was layng limply against the dirty window.

When we arrived at the new house, Gerard got out of the car and sighed.

"Geebear, is something wrong?" I asked, worriedly.

"Nothing." He answered. "It's just that, we've lived in our previous house for so long, and it's like we're just throwing away memories or something..." He trailed off.

"I get it. I kinda had the same feeling." I replied.

"Boys, there's a key under the mat!" Our mom shouted from the back of the car.

I shook my head in pity, "Under the door mat. So original." I said as I rolled my eyes.

Gerard giggled a little as he walked up to the house, while I followed close behind.

I looked across the street and saw another family moving in.

Hmm... That boy looks around my age.

He has a Misfits shirt, black skinny jeans, and a lot of bracelets on.

Maybe I should go meet him, sometime...
