Mitchels POV
18 months~

I play with the straw in my drink and watch as the ice swirls around in the glass. I glance at my watch and notice an hour had already passed. The waitress walks by and flashes me a look of pity. I look down at my water and sigh to myself. Do people really get bored after a while? I certainly wasn't bored but then again, that was me. The bell signaling someone walked in went off and I quickly look up. For a second I was hopeful but it soon faded when it wasn't the person I had hoped for. I rest my head in my hand and drift off for a moment. Maybe a few more minutes.

"Where are we going?" I whine. Christian shrugs and I groan, throwing my head back in frustration. I roll my window down, not knowing what else to do to pass the time.

"I don't like surprises." I mutter. "Quit complaining." I hated when Christian dragged me around to unknown places. "Let's hope we don't run into paparazzi. I'm really not up for that. We about died arriving back here from Aussie."

"Dude, I know. We always walk into the airport without any problems, but this time-" I roll my eyes and look out the window. "I never saw so many cameras and security guards in one place."

He nods his head in agreement and I watch as he pulls into the parking lot of the familiar beach I had been to many times before. I furrow my brows and look at him. I decide to keep my mouth shut, knowing he wouldn't tell me what we were doing here at eight o'clock at night. I zip up my jacket and follow Christian. We decided to leave our shoes on since it was pretty cold out and I neither of us wanted to get sick. I feel his hand slip into mine and a rush of happiness flooded my whole body. So many memories happened in one place, and they were continuing to happen. I see a few lights on the ground and I immediately noticed they were little battery operated candles. The little cave was all too familiar. The memory of Christian and I sitting in the same spot a year ago flashes through my brain and a smile creeps up on my face. He clears his throat and I turn to look at him. I notice him reach for something in his back pocket. I swallow hard and a simple rose appears in front of my face.

"I was going to get you a whole bouquet flowers but I didn't know how you would feel about that. I know you love roses, so I got you a rose." I bite my lip nervously and smell the pretty flower in my hand. There wasn't much scent to it but it smelled beautiful anyway.

"It's beautiful." I mutter. He smiles and motions for us to sit.

"One more thing." I raise an eyebrow at him. What more could there be? I took him out for dinner and made the night special for him but I felt as if he made it more special than I had.

"Close your eyes." I do as told and close my eyes. I hear him stir a bit and I fight the urge to jolt my eyes open. I take a breath and feel him grab my hand. I feel a cold item being slid onto my finger and panic fills me.

"Open." I open my eyes and look down at my hand.

"I'm not proposing, but it is a promise ring."

"Wow It's-" I pause for a moment and admire the simple but shiny ring.

"I got it engraved on the inside." A smile creeps onto my face and I slide the ring off. I look on the inside of the ring and see both of our names:

Christian&Mitchel

"I love it. Thank you." I embrace him into a hug. I was filled with euphoria. My entire being felt as if it was being lit up. A feeling I didn't know existed. We pull away and I give him a soft kiss before putting the ring back on. "Happy one year baby."

"This is really meaningful. I love it. Happy one year." I flash him a smile and he wraps his arm around my shoulders.
