"What do you mean?" Lachlan asked as the pair moved towards the couch. Becky pulled him down with her before he was basically her blanket, half of his body resting atop her. His arm gently wrapped around her body before her arms wound around his neck loosely. She spoke as his head nuzzled into her neck.

"You quit judo for four years because I told you it was pointless to stay in a sport that wasn't going to get you anywhere. Then, there was the time I got you hooked on weed." He chuckled lightly.

"Let's be real though that actually helped with chemo." She shook her head as her lips met his temple.

"Yes but I basically forced it on you." She said softly as her fingertips gently threaded in his hair. He shrugged before she continued. "There were also the numerous times that we were drunk when I told you it was a good idea and the next morning you wound up in the hospital." When he began to laugh she hit the back of his head.

"Oh come on. It was almost like a game." She started to laugh.

"Yea. What body part is injured today?" They both started laughing before his lips brushed her neck. "God we really were toxic for each other." He shrugged.

"Let's be honest though Becs. Neither one of us would be here if we weren't together." He said softly. "Without you I would have drunken myself into oblivion. Either that or I wouldn't have fought." She always hated hearing that come from him. When they met he was weak and far from winning his battle with cancer. He had even admitted that he didn't want to fight it anymore. It all changed when he met Becky. She was the reason he fought and had a drive to live.

When her arms tightened around his neck he moved to connect their lips.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean.." She cut him off by connecting their lips once more. As they moved in sync they could feel every emotion the other was feeling. They pulled away breathing hard. It was in that moment that Lachlan continued his words. "And without you Rebecca I wouldn't have the gym, I wouldn't have gotten back into judo and I wouldn't have gone to the Olympics." His lips carefully met his cheek.

"I also wouldn't have my heart dead set on being with one person for the rest of my life. My life wouldn't have been anywhere near the same without you in it." He said softly. "I wouldn't change it for the world. I'd take the ups and downs any day over not having you in my life."

"I wouldn't trade you for the world Lachy." She replied as her fingers lightly strayed through his hair. She heard the long sigh release from his body as his nose nuzzled even more into her skin. "You've gotten me through more than I could have ever imagined and I couldn't love you enough for it." Lachlan's lips gently met her collarbone.

"I love you more Becs." Her fingers slowly drifted along his cheek causing his eyes to slip shut. He was putty in her hands and she loved every bit of it. To everyone else he was closed off, sometimes harsh and could turn on you in a second. But he would never hurt her unless by accident while they were training. She could push every one of his buttons but he would never lay a hand on her.

He was her safety blanket. The one she never thought she needed but now wanted for the rest of her life. She felt a blanket pull over the both of them as her lips brushed along his ear.

"We're not moving are we?" He shook his head. "That comfortable?" He nodded. "Go to sleep." She said softly before he shook his head.

"Not yet. I've just missed this." It was something she always missed too. The small quiet moments that seemed to last forever.

"So have I." She replied softly. "I missed everything about you." He gently pulled her into him. "You big ol' teddy bear."

"I'm not old." He deadpanned. Becky laughed as she kissed his cheek.

"I wouldn't ever call you old. I mean I am older than you." It was true. She was born just over a year before him, her birthday in January his in April. "You do act old though." He chuckled lightly.

"Sure.." Now she was determined to prove Lachlan wrong.

"You complain about every little ache and pain." He shook his head. "How about every time you complain about your phone and how you wish you didn't have one?"

"Well it's a fucking pain in the ass.." He retorted.

"Then get a fucking iPhone.." Becky deadpanned.

"Show me what one to get and I'll think about it." Her lips met his cheek.

"Finally. Then I'll actually get to see you when I'm gone." He raised an eyebrow at her. "FaceTime. Basically a video call so I can see your ugly face, old man."

"What do you mean? My face is beautiful." She scoffed jokingly.

"Wanna settle this?" He rolled his eyes. "Scared you're gonna lose?"

"Whatever." He stated. She could hear the sleep taking over his words. Her lips brushed along his forehead just as a sigh crossed his lips.

"Yep. Just a big teddy bear." He turned onto his side gently moving Becky with him. As she took her opportunity to bury her face in his neck Lachlan's arms tightened protectively around her. "Night sunshine."

"Nanite beautiful."
