"
I'm sorry, it's just that I've never met anyone like you, you're so unusual! In a good way
"

Dan's a new kid at the school, and Phil's intrigued by him. Little does he know Dan's secret...

Phil's POV-

I sit down at my desk and drum my pencil on the table. I hate maths. In what universe am I ever going to use geometry again? Ever? I yawn and look over. A person who i've Never seen before sits there.

"Hello?" I ask. He looks over.

"Oh, hi, i'm Dan" he smiles at me. I smile back.

"You new?" I ask.

"Yeah, I moved here from Reading, actually" he says.

"Fun over there?" I question.

"Nope" he replies. I giggle.

————————

"So, how was your first day?" I ask Dan as we walk home together.

"Cringe-tastic!" He says sarcastically. I laugh. He laughs too. I don't really hate to admit it: Dan's pretty beautiful. He has lovely brown hair, swept to one side, and his eyes are gorgeous. I'd be surprised if i didn't get a crush on him to be honest. I know how I am. I get crushes easily, but usually I'm advised not to do anything about it because all anyone does is trample all over my heart.

"Phil?" I hear Dan's voice, snapping me into reality. I look at him.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"You back on Earth now?" He asks. I chuckle.

"Was I ever really on Earth?" I question. He shrugs.

"You tell me, or should I say: mebawblooblah" he speaks his interpretation of alien.

"Meblahahbloo" I reply. He then bursts out laughing. I laugh along. When he doesn't stop laughing, I look at him, confused.

"It wasn't that funny" I giggle.

"I'm sorry, it's just that I've never met anyone like you, you're so unusual! In a good way" he explains.

"I'll take that as a compliment"

*one month later*

As I predicted, I have a crush on Dan. We're really good friends now, but I can't help but wish we could be more. I'm going to his house today so that should be fun, it's just that I'm finding it hard to look at him without making up scenarios where we're kissing. Goddam my mind! I make my way over to his house, I'm a little early but I'm bored so he's gonna have to deal with it. I get to his door and, before I knock, something catches my eye through the window. I glance over and see Dan, but he's... dancing! And he's really good at it! He looks so passionate and beautiful... I forget that I'm staring through the window. He glances over at me before realising I'm here. I then see him jump and I jump too. I feel my cheeks go red and I stare at the floor. Dan opens the door.

"PHIL! WHAT THE HELL WHERE YOU DOING?? YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT!" He yells. I gulp and keep my eyes on the floor. I feel a tear run down my cheek. God I'm so pathetic and sensitive!

"Phil..." he says, now gently. He lifts my head up and I look at him. His thumb wipes away my tear. Before I know it, Dan's lips are on mine. I don't kiss back, due to shock. He quickly takes his lips off mine.

"I- I'm sorry, I just didn't want you to be upset!" he stutters.

"I'm sorry I stared, I just- you just- you're really good at dancing!" I say. His cheeks go red.

"I'm not, I just like to dance in my spare time... you weren't supposed to know" he sighs. I smile.

"Now about that kiss..." I tease. His cheeks go redder.

"I also kinda like you" he says timidly. I grab his hand.

"The feeling's mutual" I smile. I then press my lips against his again as he wraps his other arm around my waist.
