Toddler Trouble

Chapter Three

Keith woke up to Lance crying while curled up into his side.

"Lance?" Keith mumbled quietly

When Lance didn't say anything Keith figured out he was still asleep and must be having a bad dream.

"Lance." Keith said softly trying to shake him awake.

"Noo don't take me cookie...." Lance whimpered out in his sleep.

Is this what kids dream about?

"Lance, wake up." Keith sat up pulling Lance into his lap holding him close.

Lance's eyes fluttered open and he looked around teary eyed.

"Shhh" Keith said

"K...Keef?" Lance mumbled

Keith didn't say anything and just held Lance close to him letting him cry about his stolen cookie.

Kids have really weird dreams.

After a few minutes Lance calmed down.

"Are you feeling better?" Keith said while tilting Lance's head up.

Lance just nodded.

"How about we go get some food? I'm sure Hunk has already started cooking breakfast." Keith offered

Lance nodded again and wrapped his arms around Keith's neck as Keith moved Lance to sit on his hip.

After walking into the kitchen Keith noticed everyone was already there but Lance had his face buried in the crook of Keith's neck.

Keith set Lance in the chair beside Pidge then sat in the chair beside Lance.

Lance immediately reached over and grabbed Pidge's hand.

"Yes?" She said looking down at Lance with a small smile.

"Morning Pid." He mumbled softly

"Morning Lance." Pidge responded

Hunk came over with breakfast setting some on everyone's plates.

Lance stared at his food and at first everyone thought he didn't like it.

"Milk pwease?" Lance asked tiredly

Hunk chuckled and went to the kitchen coming back with a small cup of milk for Lance.

"Thank you" He said taking a small sip then began eating like everyone else.

"How long do you think Lance will be like that?" Allura asked

"I don't know, but from what we gathered from the dust it should wear off in a few days, maybe a week or two." Pidge responded.

"That long?!" Allura said "He's useless if he can't fly the blue lion!"

Lance looked at Allura tears welling up in his eyes.

"Allura!" Keith said angrily

"Its true! I mean look at him." Allura gestured to Lance while glaring.

"Stupid!" Lance yelled while picking up some food with his hand and throwing it at her.

"Lance!" Shiro said in a stern voice and Lance just picked up more food throwing it at Shiro.

"You little—" Allura started

"Don't you dare finish that sentence." Pidge said

Lance got up bolting from the room.

"Lance!" Keith ran after him

Keith quickly caught up to Lance since he was so small and couldn't run that fast. Keith quickly picked Lance up.
