I gotta stay high all the time
To keep you off my mind
Spend my days locked in a daze
Trying to forget you babe
Gotta stay high all my life
To forget I'm missing you

"God dammit..." Tristan mumbled as he rose up from a very uncomfortable position on the floor. A pain in his skull made him rub his temples with a groan. He looked around the room and saw many other sleeping people all across the floor, most half naked. "What happened last night?" He mumbled to himself and slowly got up. His phone and wallet were luckily still in his pocket. The blonde decided to walk home since google maps told him it wasn't too far and it turned out to be a very nice refreshing walk through the streets of London. Unlocking the door, he stepped into the small apartment and breathed in the smell of home with a hint of old pizza and beer. Tristan kicked off his shoes and plopped down on the couch. He checked his messages and noticed he actually had quite a lot.

Raley: Party yesterday was liiit! Thx for coming, Trissy xx

Zach: Can you remember last night?? I need to know what I did to get this black eye -_-

Jeremy: I get new stuff in today, u want some?

Bradley: Hey man, haven't seen you in quite a while. How are you?

Tristan immediately let out a groan at the message but couldn't help but feel a tiny bit warmer at the words from his fellow band mate. Leaving the Vamps was definitely not something he regretted doing but it certainly wasn't something he enjoyed either. Him and the boys hadn't talked in about a month and Tristan couldn't be worse. He was going from party to party and testing out new drugs at every single one. Pills, joints, powder, syringes anything that made him forget about his crush who was touring the world without him, having the time of his life. A sigh escaped the blondes lips and he walked into the kitchen where he opened a can of beer and placed it down on the counter after taking a sip. Two hours later, Tristan was getting dressed for work. He worked in a music store since music was still his passion even after leaving the band. Not many people recognized him and he liked it like that but an occasional fan every week wasn't something he complained about. Work was slow and Tristan was basically just cleaning the drum kits and guitars the whole time he was there. Eight hours in total until he finally locked up the store and drove home once again when he suddenly received a message.

David: Party at mine tonight. I have some hard stuff here you might like ;)

Tristan immediately checked the clock and a grin formed on his lips when he read 7:34 pm. He quickly walked into his room and threw on a decent looking outfit, leaving his previously made dinner to get cold on the couch table. The blonde left about twenty minutes later and arrived at the party in only ten. The music was loud and people were sitting outside as well as inside. Tristan greeted some of his friends and they were all happy to see the blonde not high or drunk for once wich Tristan planned to change in the next minutes. "Evans!" A voice called out and the tall male turned around to see his friend Jeremy standing there with a bottle of beer in his hand. "Hey Jem." Tristan said and gave him a hug. "So, you in for the stuff I told you about?" Jeremy asked his old friend and Tristan immediately nodded. "Always, my friend." He answered and Jeremy seemed to really like his answer. "I knew I could count on you, Tris. Let's go." They walked into Jeremys bedroom where a few other guys and girls were sitting around. White pulver was formed in lines on a plate and Tristan got really excited. "Cocaine?" He asked Jeremy who turned towards him with a smirk. "Way better, Tris."

The next thing Tristan remembered was shiver that ran down his spine when another cold breeze hit the uncovered skin on his arms and he pressed himself more against the guy in front of him. What was his name? Kyle? It didn't matter in that moment anyway. Tristan was against the wall, making out with this random dude and he felt like he hadn't taken in a breath in ages. He felt every single muscle moving inside his body when he moved against the taller guy. It was like electricity was running through his veins and he couldn't get enough of the guy in front of him. Or could he? He felt like he really had to take in a breath at this point. His lungs were screaming for oxygen but he didn't care. Suddenly the feeling of the larger hands on his waist was gone and the lips on his were gone mere seconds. The blonde opened his eyes just in time to see a fist colliding with the face of his make out buddy. His intoxication made it impossible for his brain to react before the fist of his one night stand landed in his "saviors" face. "Stop it!" He finally called out and stumbled in between the two. And as soon as he turned to face the boy that "saved" him his eyes widened and he took a small step back. "Bradley?" He stuttered out and the boys eyes that had been filled with fury softened at the sight of his blonde friend but before they could exchange anymore words the guy decided to interfere. "What the fuck is going on, you know this dude??" He asked and Tristan was about to say something before Bradley stepped in front of him and narrowed his eyes at the tall male. "Yeah he does and now leave Tristan alone before I-" The blonde quickly pulled the boy back and smiled at his one night stand. "Sorry, but you should leave." He said, earning a scoff from the guy. Kyle or whatever his name might be left and Tristan squeezed his eyes shut and massaged his temples. "Man what a douchebag. I hope I gave him a-" Bradley started to say but was cut off by his blonde friend. "What are you doing here Bradley." Tristan asked and turned to look at the brunette who sighed sadly. "I-I just wanted to check up on you... You didn't reply to my message and I was worried." Bradley mumbled while staring at his feet. "We haven't seen each other in a whole month so you send me a message and I don't reply for one day so you drive almost four hours to go see me?" Tristan asked, disbelief lacing his voice. "I-I just missed you I guess..." Bradley whispered and Tristan sighed slightly. "Do you have a place to stay the night?" He asked and Bradley shook his head slightly. "Let's go to my place then." He said and started to walk towards his apartment building with the brunette walking next to him. They walked in silence until they reached the apartment. Bradley looked around curiously as the two entered Tristans home. "It's small but I like it." Bradley said while looking around and Tristan shrugged. "Yeah it's the best I could find." He mumbled and walked into the kitchen. The blonde grabbed some ice and wrapped a towel around it before leading his younger friend to the kitchen counter and helped him sit on top of it. Bradley winced when Tristan pressed the ice against his bruised eye and the blonde sighed. "Hold it there." He said and guided Bradleys hand to the ice so he would hold it in place. "Thanks..." The brunette whispered and Tristan just nodded while grabbing a damp cloth and starting to wipe away the dried blood beneath Bradleys nose. "That was probably the most stupid thing you've ever done." Tristan mumbled as he washed the blood from the cloth. "I j-just wanted to help." Bradley whispered and Tristan turned around. "So you punch this random guy in the face? He could've been my boyfriend for all you know." Tristan said sternly and Bradley let his head hang low. "I know... You just looked uncomfortable and I thought he was hurting you."
Tristan sighed at that and looked up Bradley. His eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes were squeezed shut. "Are you in pain?" Tristan asked and the smaller brunette nodded. "Stay here, I'm gonna get you some pain killers."
Tristan said before quickly leaving the room and entering his bedroom. He opened the drawer in his wadrobe and pulled out the base. Rummaging through his many different pills he couldn't find any pain killers so he threw all of it on his bed, continuing to search through it. Colorful pills, white powder, weed and even some syringes were sprawled out on the bed. "T-Tris?" A voice spoke behind him and he immediately turned around as fast as he could and saw Bradley standing there with wide eyes. "W-what-" He started but was cut off by Tristan. "It's not what it looks like." He quickly said and cursed at himself for the mainstream excuse. "Y-you're taking drugs? Are you addicted??" Bradley asked with horror written all over his face. "No... Well for the most part." Tristan said and Bradley just stared at him and the blonde watched as the younger boys expression turned from scared and shocked to angry. "And you're calling me stupid?! This can kill you!" Bradley yelled, pointing towards all the stuff on the bed. "It's so dangerous to do these things! Why didn't you tell us?? Why didn't you tell me?" Bradleys eyes softened again. "I don't have a choice." Tristan muttered and Bradley scoffed. "You always have a choice. Especially with these things. You're going to kill yourself and-" Bradley wasn't able to continue when Tristan snapped. "Do you think I don't know this?!" He yelled at the brunette. "Do you think I just one day thought it would be a great idea to get into drugs? To go out with the wrong people and devour these things like they're water or bread?? I don't have a choice because these make my life just a tiny bit better wich nothing else ever did! I know you may not understand but I'm doing this because of you. I'm doing this to forget you. To forget the fact that I will never be able to call you mine or hold you in my arms. To forget that you don't love me in the same way I do or the fact that you don't miss me like I miss you. I'm jealous of the way you're happy without me. And the only way I can forget this jealousy is by forgetting my own name along with it." Tristan finished and took in a deep breath before turning around and staring out of the window. "Why do you think I came here?" A voice whispered and Tristan shrugged. "To make yourself feel better?" He assumed and heard a light scoff. "Do you even know what you did to me? I was heartbroken when you just left without a proper goodbye or an explanation. I thought you were going to come back after a while but you didn't. You didn't answer any of my messages for the past month. Do you even know how worried I was? Con told me you were drunk out of your mind the last time he talked to you and I was so scared you had gotten hurt. I-I wanted to talk to you so bad but you just ignored me. You were the first boy I ever fell in love with and seeing you leave me like it was nothing made me feel like I never meant shit to you. So don't act like you're the only victim here because you broke my heart as well, Evans." Bradley spat and Tristan turned around. The two boys stared at each other for what felt like eternity until both of them speed walked towards each other. They met in the middle and only seconds later, their lips met making both of them smile. After two minutes they both pulled away and took in deep breaths. "I guess we're both stupid..." Bradley whispered and Tristan chuckled. "It's one of my worst habits."
