"Anybody want anything to drink?" I asked around the table, glancing from Ben to Stella and then to the two guys, Jaxon and Charlie.

They all shook their heads, Stella the only one to nod. "Yeah, babe, can you get me a cooler?"

I nodded, "Yeah, sure. I'll be right back." I dropped my purse beside Stella after slipping out a few bills, taking one step before someone touched my elbow.

"Lemme come with you, Vee," Ben offered, straying away from his conversation with the guys. I quickly shook my head in refusal, stepping away slowly.

"No, it's cool, you stay! I'll be back in a sec."

He didn't say anything, instead he gave me his signiature half smile, taking a seat beside Jaxon. I continued towards the bar, feeling uncomfortable and frankly quite suffocated when I was forced to squeeze in between two rather stocky men sitting on their stools, beers in hand.

I brushed shoulders with the one guy to my right, ignoring his small grunt leaning over with a wave of my hand to summon the bartender. I was surprised when he came over quickly, his eyes darting from my chest to my face, meeting my gaze.

I fought the urge to roll my eyes.

"A stawberry Smirnoff and a rum and coke," I ordered, making sure to leave out a please.

He nodded and went to work straight away, but not without a wink in my direction. I sighed, turning to look at one of the flatscreens mounted on the wall, watching the UFC match in the meantime, when I felt someone breathing down my neck.

I turned to the man on my right automatically, feeling angst circulate through my body when he smirked at me.

"Rum and coke? Baby doll, I know you got more of a taste than that," he spoke, his speech slurred and breath reeking of cigars and beer. "How 'bout I get ya a real drink? For a precious girl like you, it'll be on me."

I didn't even try to force a smile. I simply shook my head, keeping my tone curt. "No, thanks."

He chuckled in response, his tone grave. "Well, you're foreign... At least let me show you around a bit. Some of these places are quite hard, for a girl like you."

I nearly cringed at his stupid innuendo, trying to focus my attention elsewhere when he laughed.

"How about you fuck off?" I spat, glaring at the asshole.

I needed those drinks to fucking come faster.
I chose to not pay heed to the drunk idiot, looking around desperately for a distraction. I looked past the guy to see someone staring at me intently, his cerulean eyes focused on me.

"Vee?"

My breath hitched in my throat in relief, and before I knew what I was doing, I was making my way over to Colt. He looked over at me, watching as I swerved my way around the guy. I let out a small yelp, cringing when the little shit caught my wrist.

"Where're y'going?" he called, tugging me back by my jacket sleeve.

I yanked my hand away and watched his eyes grow dark, but then my sight of the drunkard was blocked, a man with a black leather jacket stood in front of me.

"What the fuck is your problem?" Colt growled at him, about to grab him by the man's collar.
I clutched Colt's arm, tugging his body back away from the guy.

"Colt, it's okay, stop," I told him, forcing him to take a step back.

Colt didn't answer, instead he glared down at the guy with a vengeance. "Get the fuck outta here."
