It was finally my first day of school and I made sure to wear something cute. My uncle Xaylynn was supposed to pick me up. Though he's my uncle I prefer not to call him that. My parents volunteered to drop me to school but I wasn't a 2 year old going to pre-school so I refused. Xaylynn arrived and I said my goodbyes before leaving.

As I walked down the halls everyone was staring at me. Then I saw James. He walked towards us and greeted Xaylynn with their manly handshakes.
"Wazzup fam?" Xaylynn said.
"I'm cool. Who's your shawty?" he said grinning.
"James, it's me," I say.
He came closer before saying "Ooooooh! You?"
He obviously forgot my name so I added "Alexandrite."
"Oh right!" he said causing me to blush.
"Well J, this is my niece so stay the fuck away," Xaylynn said loud and clear.
"Chill ma nigga! You actin' like I'm some wild beast or some shit," James say.
"Hey baby!" a pretty girl came up to Xay and hugged him.
"Alexandrite this is my girlfriend Mia, Mia this is my niece Alexandrite," Xay introduced us. We shook hands and smiled.

Xaylynn decided to take me to the office to get my schedule. As we were walking to the office a group of 3 girls walked pass us and the one in the middle gave me the bitch face. She was really pretty though and that was facts.

Xay was in a different class from me so he left me at mines and went. I entered the class and said my greeting before sitting in the back next to the nerd I met at my house.
"Morning," I said again. I had forgot his name to be honest.

"Hey Alexandrite," he said shocking me.
People usually forgets my name after a couple seconds but he remembered. "You remembered?" I say.
"Of course I did. Once I know the meaning of something I never forget. Did you know your name is the name of a 5 carat gem found in Ural Mountains like in Brazil? Alexandrites are also very rare and expensive," he said.
I deadass didn't know that. I never thought about asking my mom or dad the meaning. "I know now."
He smiled at me again. "My name's Micheal by the way," he said.
"Oh right."

It was finally lunch time and a nigga was starving.
I was gonna sit with Micheal but James invited me to his table.
"Guys this is my friend Alexandria and-"
"It's Alexandrite for the 3rd time James," I say laughing.
"Oh right. Alexandrite these are my friends Lauren, Avey, Aidan, Royalty and Adrian," he said.
"Hey!" everyone except royalty replied.

I sat with them and started to eat.
"So, we're you from?" Aidan asked.
"Pig Island in the Bahamas," I say.

I literally told them half of my biography. And that Royalty chick doesn't like me one bit.
Can you believe on my first day of school I got a project? It was my first day of school but it wasn't the first day of school. But on the bright side the teacher paired me with James!!!

"How was your first day of school?" dad asked.
"It was great!" I exclaimed.
"Got any homework?" he questioned.
"Yup. But I did them in class. Most of the things we did today I already learned from online school," I said.
Xaylynn had decided to come over so we watched a movie together.
"Alex," he called out to me while I was browsing through netflix for another movie.
"Yeah?"
"Stay away from James. He's a player and he'll hurt you." That's what any overprotective uncle will say.
"Yeah....aight," I reply like Blueface.
Mom was out and dad had just left so we put on some music and started dancing.
