I put Abby down, due to the speed we went she stumbled a bit, before gaining her composure.

"Don't ever do that without telling me" said Abby

"I guess gymnastic does come in handy" I laughed

"What do you mean?" Abby asked

"It helps you stay on your feet" I said

Abby punched me in the arm, and felt pain shoot up my arm. I had to admit for someone her size, she had a pretty good arm.

"Ow!" I laughed

I looked around the airport, it was quiet there was nobody to be seen. Abby sat her bag down and started to pull out a bunch of wires and pads. They look pretty expensive.

"Where did you get that?" I asked

"I got it from Fisher, he does work for someone with a lot of money. He gave it to me" said Abby

"Fisher just gives you expensive stuff?" I asked

"Don't ask me, he's the one who gave it to me" Abby said

"What does it do?" I asked

"It's going to help me read your speed, and how fast you're going...of course" replied Abby

I put the pads on me on and Abby turned it on.

"I got you up, Just start running when your ready" said Abby

"I don't know how to control it" I said

Abby thought for a moment, then her eyes lit up

"Well...why don't you try and focus on running?" Abby asked

I never thought of it, focusing more on running might make me know what's going on around me, so I began to run. It felt as if time slowed down around me, how was that even possible. I was smiling, I had to admit this was pretty cool.

"Oh my god" said Abby

I looked over to Abby

"What is it?" I shouted

"You're going 457 miles per hour" Abby cried

I almost tripped when she said that, but I managed to stay on my feet. I was going faster than the fastest human. I wanted to see if I could go faster, so I started to pick up my speed.

"Rick slow down" Abby said

"Why" I shouted

"You're gonna....."

Abby was silent after that, why couldn't I hear anything. I looked over to the board next to me, Abby had it set up to read my speed. I was going faster than the speed of sound, and it didn't stop there it kept going up.

"867 Miles per Hour" I said

"967 Miles per Hour"

"1467 Miles per hour"

It stopped at that number, That was my maximum speed. Everything around me was a blur, I know time was moving frequently, but to me, it was slowed down, even with that everything was still a blur. The board with my speed than said for me to stop. It took a while, but after skidding about 20 feet, I stopped. I saw Abby running up to me.

"Rick that was amazing" cheered Abby

"Yeah I think I got the hang of it" I said

Abby looked down, hiding back a snicker.

"Uh Rick" asked Abby

"Yeah" I said

"Where are your shoes?" Abby said

I looked down, I was standing in a pile of ash. My socks were coded in black ash. That was a good question, where did they go.

Abby giggled

"I think they couldn't handle the friction, due to how fast your feet were moving" she laughed

"Huh?" I Ask

"Anyway we should get back" Abby Said

"Yeah" I replied

We made our way out of the airport and started walking home.
