After the show, everyone walked out to the golf course. I had a lantern in one hand and the other laced in Troy's.
I leaned my head on his shoulder and looked up at the sky. A shooting star quickly made its way across the star filled darkness.
Everyone except for Troy and I ran out deeper into the course. "Here's to the future.", I said looking into his deep blue eyes.
"No. Here's to right now.", he said, a smirk coming across his face.
He slowly leaned in, our lips softly coming together. We both let go of our lanterns and I put my hand to his cheek.
Fireworks suddenly lit up the night sky with color. We both looked up with smiles on our faces. Oh, how I missed that smile.
Just like that, the best summer ever came to an end on a golf course, with fireworks, holding the best guy in the world's hand. It couldn't get better.
I said I wanted to remember this summer, and I most definitely will. No doubt.
Next up, senior year.
