::Kylie's POV::

"What are you doing here?" I asked Tyler.

"Kylie?" He asked with a dumbfounded look. "Is that you?"

I stared at him with a blank face until eventually he smacked his teeth and gave in.

"I can't just come to see you?" He asked with a sly grin.

I looked at him suspiciously. "Why does it seem like you know something that I don't?" Unlike myself, Tyler was EXTREMELY skilled when it came to keeping secrets.

His eyes glanced down as his thumb trailed along my wrist softly.

"It wilted," I said, referring to the bracelet, with a pout.

His lips settled into a firm line before he spoke again. "It's not like you'd actually wear it everyday."

"I would, actually," I said and Tyler's dark gray eyes once again pierced into mine.

There was a pause until he looked out of the window. What was his problem? Did he not drive to my school to see me or did I come out here for nothing? He was just acting extremely distant all of a sudden and I didn't like it.

"I should probably get back to cl--" I spoke but was cut off before I even got a chance to finish.

"I got something for you," he spoke and reached over me, opening the glove compartment and pulling out a small black box.

I looked at him as he held it in his hand. He looked as if he was trying to find the right words to say, but he couldn't.

"Never mind," he said.

I blinked a few times. "What do you mean never mind?"

"I- uh... I don't know."

"Why am I here right now Tyler?" I asked, looking at him expectantly.

"You walked to my car. You tell me," he responded.

"Fine," I replied. "I'm gone."

I tried as hard as I could to refrain from snatching the box from his hands and throwing it through the windshield. How did he just go from one extreme to the other like that? He went from being all cute, surprising me at school, to just shrugging me off. I didn't even care to look at what was IN the stupid box, but why would he claim to have gotten me something and then say 'never mind.'

"Asshole," I shot at him then jumped out of the car.

Making sure to slam the door as hard as I could, I started walking back towards the school building, letting thoughts of what I would say to my teacher when I returned to class marinate my mind. I was fully prepared to get detention when I stepped foot back in there.

"Kylie!" I heard Tyler call right as I was about to exit the parking lot.

I turned around just in time to see him get out of the car and close the door before making his way over to me.

"What's your problem?" I asked him.

"My problem?" He asked like he had no idea what I was talking about. I would even say there was a glint of accusation in his voice, like I was the one who did something to him.

I rolled my eyes. "Just forget it," I said giving up, starting to turn around again.

"Do you love me?" He asked, stopping me in my tracks.

Suddenly, I couldn't breathe. The air was caught in my lungs but even if I was able to say something, I wouldn't know what to say. What did he mean did I love him? Where was this even coming from? What was I going to say?! I couldn't just sit here like an idiot.
