The story I will tell you now , you have never heard before,it is unlike the fables that your mother told you by the light of the Moon.It is untold, unknown to people who are not like us. It was told to me by my father, who was told by his own father. It is a story that has been passed from generations to generations, to explain why we are what we are, why we are treated like royalty and feared like the king of evil himself; èsú. At first I did not believe, it had sounded foreign to my ears, but now I do. Because I have seen the proof.Mother must not know that I am telling you this story, but I simply cannot hold it in. No one knows this, but I simply must tell you.I do not want to keep you in the dark. You are too dear to me.
Enough beating around the bush, I can see you tapping your feet on the ground, and wiggling in your seat .

Let us go back,

Way back,

To before any of our parents were born.

Sit tight dear,

We might take a while.

For this is the story of a little girl ,

Who became great.
And this is the story of what came along with that greatness.

A/N:all Yoruba words or non English words will be written boldly in the chapter and  translated in my author's note.
ÈSÚ: meaning is Satan , Devil or Lucifer. But is also a god in some religions( no, not Satanism , lol)
I know this is short, but it's kinda like an introductory chapter. It will get better soon.
