Here is chapter thirty, this is dedicated to plethora. Although It's a very, very, very late Birthday present,  please accept it*bats eyes*. And it's a thank you for being amazing. Thanks girl, muah!! ❤😎😇😘😄

Two weeks had passed since Adio's resurrection. And everyday, he would sit by her tree and talk to her about his day, as if she could reply. Òsunyémisí had gone back to ìlúogbón, but Fìwàshadé had stayed to take care of her godson. And Aríyíké was busy planning her wedding to a wealthy businessman she'd met in ìlúogbón, much to everyone's surprise. Sola had organised a ceremony to honor Awele's memory. And it was the talk of the town, and the others beside it.
It was hard, but they tried to be happy, because that was the only thing they could do. The Afobaje had come to see Adio as the future king, but they were all shocked when the young boy spoke up in the meeting.

"enough! " everyone became silent, wondering what he had to say.

" I do not want to be king, I want to go back to Iluogbon"

One of the chiefs stood and tried to place a hand on the boy's shoulder, but Adio flinched away, shocking Sola further. The boy had never done this before!
the chief continued, "Adio, why dont you want to become king? why do you want to go back to Iluogbon"
"i want to become a healer , like Osunyemisi. I dont want to die!"
The grown ups laughed, " you will not die, Adio, why are you saying that?" Another chief spoke up.
Adio remained silent, folding his hands over his chest and frowning.
Sola glanced at fiwashade and nodded his head at her. She stood and pulled Adio to her,
"let's go and get a snack, Adio"
When they got to the kitchen, Fiwashade gave Adio a large piece of coconut and hugged him to her side.
"Adio, what did you mean by what you said out there?"
The boy stopped mid-bite. "I don't want to be the king. I want to be a healer like Baba" Baba was his nickname for Osunyemisi.
"But why?"
"because i love watching Baba heal people. And  i don't want to die"
Fiwashade was becoming unnerved, "why do you keep saying that?, you aren't going to die!"
"but i am! i'll die if i try to become king! i saw it!"
"where? where did you see it?"
The boy shrugged, "i don't know, i just saw it when i was playing with the others"
Fiwashade couldn't keep the shock out of her face,  She began to run different scenarios through her mind, what if coming back from the dead had affected him mentally, what if he would never be the same again?
The boy was still eating his coconut, swaying from side to side like he was dancing to music only he could hear, oblivious of the terrified woman beside him. He suddenly tensed up and dropped his snack. Fiwashade noticed this and called the boy's name, but Adio only continued to stare into space with glazed eyes.
"Ad-"
"Deji will get hurt." Adio cut her off.
Fiwashade was still trying to understand his words when there was a sudden commotion outside the house.
Adio and Fiwashade went to check it out, it was Deji, he was wailing in Sola's arms, his right hand hanging at an odd angle to his body, it was broken. Fiwashade turned to Adio, who was standing beside Deji and rubbing a hand on his head to comfort him. The boy had indeed seen it! but how? could he have gotten this......whatever it was, from Awele. Her meeting with his mother had shown her that nothing was impossible. Deji was taken to the herbalist in town and Fìwàshadé was left  alone with Ádìo.
The boy turned to her. "I told you I saw it"
"I believe you now, Ádìo. When did you start seeing these things?"
"Some days ago, but only if someone will get hurt"
"Oh. How do you feel when you're seeing things?"
The boy shrugged and fidgeted in place. He looked like he had something to say.
"Is my mother a bad person?"
"Whatever made you think that ?"
"I don't know, but I know she died because of me"
Fìwàshadé gasped " what ! That's not true. Ádìo, your mother loved you very much. But there are some things you are too young to understand, But what is important is that your mother was a very good person. She was a brave and strong woman."
Ádìo nodded. He seemed satisfied with her answer.
"Now let's go in, we'll talk about you going to Òsunyémisí tomorrow" she said as they walked back into the house.
Àdìo looking back at his mother's tree and smiling.
As they entered, the tree's branches moved with the wind, as if it was waving to them. Maybe it was, no one would ever know.

The next day, Solá, fìwàshadé and Aríyíké received a surprising news. Òsunyémisí was moving to Oyogun, to be able to stay close to his adopted daughter's family. Solá was ecstatic, this meant Ádìo would not need to move away from his family. Even Àdìo was relieved, he hadn't thought of his mother's tree when he'd decided to move to Ìlúogbón, but he wouldn't need to leave it behind now. And the fact that he could stay with his cousin was an additional blessing.
Solá had asked him if he was satisfied with the turn if events. And the little boy had heard a little , tiny voice whisper in his ear. "I will always be with you my son. "
The boy smiled a full smile, nodding frantically.
"Yes , uncle Solá" he said, " I am very happy"
