Àdìo laughed as he ran around his mother's compound with his cousins. The grown ups sat under a tree watching the kids run around. Solá and Àwèlé sat down with a bowl of peanuts in front of them. Solá was catching Àwèlé up on everything that had happened in the family since she left.
"Àwèlé"
"Yes?"
"Have you seen anything yet?"
He was talking about Oníbodè. Àwèlé had told him about Oníbodè and the warning from the gods.
She shook her head and threw a peanut in her mouth. "No, nothing yet." She did not want to tell him about the nightmares she had been having about Adéoba. He would appear to her and mock her , calling her a murderer like him.
"Àwèlé, take no offence at my words. Do you feel like what you did was the right thing?" His sister jackknifed into a sitting position and set her mouth in a grim line.
"What do you mean? I did what was right for everyone"
"What was right could have been done another way. Àwèlé, I really wish you'd told me before you did it. Now you have blood on your hands."

"I don't care! He hurt me! And I needed to stop him from hurting anyone else, Ah ah! T'ádìye bá dàmí n'ígbá nù, èmi Na a sì fó o léyin!"
If a chicken decides to ruin my produce, I will also break it's eggs!
Solá shook his head, " But was the wrath and anger of the gods really worth it? Think about it , aburo mi" my little sister.
"Well it has been done. Aso ò b'ómóye mó. Omóye ti rìn'hòhò wo jà." It is too late to do anything now, the matter is out of our hands.
"I just-" Solá began, but a sudden pandemonium amongst the boys cut him off. The boys were yelling and running, pointing behind them. Solá and Àwèlé had to calm them down, as they were all talking at once. Deji calmed down at once. And it was the moment Àwèlé noticed that Àdìo was missing that he yelled.
"A man took Àdìo !"
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

The sun had set, but the search still continued for Àdìo. Solá had rounded up some men to join them. The village was filled with shouts of his name. While the search was going on, Àwèlé stood to a side, useless because she was hysterical with fear, tears streaming down her face. A throat clearing beside her brought her out of her reverie. It was an average looking man, so average that Àwèlé did not see him at first. The man scratched the tiny sprinkle of hair on his chin and sent his belly into a jiggle. The fat moving around easily. "Àwèlé!" He whispered. Àwèlé jerked to attention. She was disguised as Àbèbí, so how he knew her real name was a mystery.
"I am just a messenger", he began, " Omololá has Àdìo, she wants to talk. She says you must meet her at the abandoned hut behind Iya eleko's place, in two hours, or she will send him to you in pieces"
Then he turned and walked away.
Àwèlé did not feel her finger nails digging into her skin, untill she saw the bloody crescent shaped marks they had made. Without notifying anyone, she turned and began to walk to the meeting point. She would not Wait any longer. And if it was Omololá's wish to die today, she would grant it.
"Gladly!" She said out loud through gritted teeth. And if she wasn't strong enough to kill her,
Two people would die before the end of the day.

Thank you, thank you.
I know it's short tho, bear with me, my eyes are killing me right now.
* Bows and blows kisses*
Do you think kidnapping Àdìo was the wise thing for Omololá to do?
Thoughts?
The literal meaning of the sentence. "Aso ò b'ómóye mó. Omóye ti rìn'hòhò wo jà" is omóye cannot be clothed anymore, omóye has walked into the market square naked.
