Luke’s P.O.V.

The girls left after that…awkward situation. Lauren seemed to be a bit traumatized from the experience if I had to be quite honest, but I didn’t care. I did it. I fucking did it. After hearing Josie say that breaking up was the only solution, everything in my mind clicked and that sudden burst of bravery made me go after her. I couldn’t lose her like that. And now I never want to let her go.

"So it’s real now?" Calum asked for about the twentieth time today

"No mate we really did make a porno," I joked earning a hard smack from Josie who was at my side as we were walking backstage at the venue

"Shut up Hemmings," She said trying to hide her smile

"You guys were gross before and now you’re both just disgusting," Michael groaned

"Hey we weren’t that bad before," Josie said

"Yes you were!" Ashton replied

My arm was draped over her shoulder as we walked out into the open air. There were gates surrounding the back entrance and we saw some fans waiting for us there, so we decided to come and surprise them.

The sound of screams blew into my ear right when we exited the building finding the fans and us seperated by a barrier that still allowed us to interact with them

"Hey guys!" Ashton smiled waving to them as we walked up

Josie was still by my side as usual and my hand was clutching onto hers. I liked that feeling. Her hand was so tiny compared to mine and it was always so soft and warm. Whenever it wasn’t in my hand, it felt empty, like something was missing.

The closer and closer we got to the fence, the screams got louder and louder, but this time, it was accompanied by a few boos.

"You were the reason why that girl got hurt!"

"Is it true you made her cry even more because her bleeding took the attention away from you Josie!"

"You’re ruining this band Josie!"

Multiple people were yelling different phrases all to Josie and I felt her stop behind me, since her hand was in mine, I had to stop too

"Just forget about them baby," I spoke to her

She just shook her head

"I don’t think I should go with you guys this time," She mumbled nervously watching the crowd grow in front of her

Even though we were separated by a barrier, the fans still had the same effect on us

"It’ll be fine. You have your fans in there too Josie," I reasoned pulling her along with me which she hesitantly followed

"How could you let that girl get hurt like that Josie!" A girl yelled from the back of the crowd

"I-I didn’t mean for anyone to get hurt," Josie stuttered

She only did that when she was anxious and she usually never replies to any negative comments towards herself. I don’t know what was so different about it now. But I still kept a tight reassuring grip around her waist just in case she needed the extra help

"Just let it go Jojo," I spoke into her ear before placing a kiss on her cheek earning some awws from the crowd

"Stay away from him!" I heard a girl yell

I was about to say something back to them because I was just about done with all these rude comments towards her, but I saw something out of the corner of my eye soar into the air and hit Josie. A cracked egg yolk landed on her, hitting her chest making her step back in disbelief

She didn’t know how to react to this, but I couldn’t control myself anymore

"Who did that?!" I yelled earning some shocked stares from the fans. I never yelled at them, or even yelled in general, but right now, I was too pissed off to even care

"Luke- it’s fine I’m just going to go back now," She said holding me back before I did anything else I’d regret

"No! It’s not fine Josie!" I continued yelled

"Did you think it was funny to throw that? She didn’t deserve that. She’s the best person I know and I’m really just fucking disappointed in whoever threw that," I huffed before grabbing her hand to take her away and leave

"You didn’t have to do that…but thank you," She said quietly following behind my long strides

"I just don’t understand. Some of them only hate you because you’re dating me. If anything, they should be hating me for dating you." I began rambling

Once we  were inside, Josie stopped me to shut me up by kissing me. I liked this. Being able to kiss her, to tell her how much she means to me, because this was real now. We were real.
