y/n: "Kai should be here any minute now."

soobin: "Okay."

y/n: "By the way, this is Annie."

annie: "Hi!"

soobin: "Hi."

annie: "So what did you think about the mile we had to run today?"

soobin: "Good."

annie: "Did you hear what he said, [y/n]?"

y/n: "I'm not deaf."

annie: (laughs) "Soobin, you must be the only person I know who says the mile is good."

soobin: "It's not so bad."

annie: "You really are a unique case. Oh, my mom is here to pick me up. See you later!"

y/n: "Bye."

soobin: "Nice meeting you."

annie: "Nice meeting you, too!"

(silence)

hueningkai: "Yo!" (hands [y/n] textbook) "You left this in our locker."

y/n: "Thank you."

hueningkai: "See how forgetful she is, Soobin?"

soobin: (laughs)

hueningkai: "Alright, let's get going."

(biking)

hueningkai: "Hey, how did you get to [y/n] so fast, by the way?"

soobin: "I got switched into last period for P.E."

hueningkai: "Ahh."

y/n: "Annie just left us."

hueningkai: "I haven't seen her in awhile. Sorry, Soobin, Annie's pretty chatty."

soobin: "That's okay. She just asked me what I thought about the mile."

hueningkai: "And your answer was?"

soobin: "That it wasn't so bad."

hueningkai: "What? I feel like my knee caps are going to melt off every time I have to run the mile. I wish we didn't have to run it all four years of high school."

soobin: "It's honestly not that bad."

hueningkai: "Are you a fast runner?"

soobin: "No."

hueningkai: "What's your best mile time?"

soobin: "Four minutes and twenty-two seconds."

(silence)

hueningkai: "When God made Soobin, he added in four gallons of Redbull."

soobin: (laughs) "I'm not that fast."

hueningkai & y/n: "That's what fast runners say."

hueningkai: "Jinx! You owe me a crunch double fudge slice of cake tomorrow."

soobin: "Crunch double what?"

hueningkai: "[y/n] works at a bakery downtown."

soobin: "Really?"

y/n: (nods) "Just part-time."

hueningkai: "It's called All You Knead."

soobin: "Clever."

hueningkai: "Right? And my mom's shop is next to it."

soobin: "What's your mom's shop?"

hueningkai: "A boba place. We'll go one of these days."

y/n: "Do you have to go in today?"

hueningkai: "Nah. Maybe later in the week." (stops biking) "Alright, this is my usual stop."

soobin: "Okay. See you tomorrow!"

hueningkai: "See you tomorrow."

(pause)

soobin: "Um..."

hueningkai: "This is my fist. You're supposed to bump it."

soobin: "Right." (laughs) "Sorry."

hueningkai: "Later, bro."

soobin: "Later."

(continue biking)

soobin: "Kai doesn't live that far from us."

y/n: "He really doesn't. He's always coming over. I need to hide my favorite bag of chips."

soobin: "Why?"

y/n: "Because he devours them like it's the last day on Earth."

soobin: "Maybe it is."

y/n: "Touche. Oh, we're here now. Sorry, let me just get my gate key."

soobin: "I have the gate key, if you can't find yours."

y/n: "I have it, too, there's just too much crap in my bag."

soobin: (laughs) "Here, I'll use mine."

y/n: "Thanks."

soobin: "You're welcome."

y/n: "Well, I'm in this building right here."

soobin: "I'm further down."

y/n: "Cool." (pause) "Well..."

soobin: "See you tomorrow? I can meet you here at the gate."

y/n: "Oh. Okay."

soobin: "What's your number?"

y/n: ".....hm?"

soobin: "So I can text you when I'm by the gate tomorrow morning and you know when to come over."

y/n: "Oh. Right. Yeah, it's [phone number]."

soobin: "Got it." (smiles) "Alright, [y/n], see you tomorrow."

y/n: "See you tomorrow."
