mrs. kai: "Soobin! [y/n]!"

soobin: "Hello!"

mrs. kai: "Sorry, we're a little empty today. Because it's getting colder, no one really wants cold boba."

soobin: "What? But any weather is good for boba!"

mrs. kai: "My thought exactly. Plus, what they don't know is that I have some hot bubble tea drinks. Want to try some?"

y/n: "Sure!"

mrs. kai: "Have a seat. I'll bring it right out."

soobin: "Thank you."

[MRS. KAI leaves]

soobin: "I really don't want to do this assignment. I have a headache."

y/n: "Did you get a good night's sleep?"

soobin: "No."

y/n: "You should try going to bed early."

soobin: "That's the thing, I did. I've just been feeling off lately."

y/n: "Are you sure you're not getting sick?"

soobin: "No. I don't know what it is."

y/n: "Well, try focusing on your assignment and maybe that'll help distract you a little from how off you feel."

soobin: "Only you would tell me that homework is a good distraction."

y/n: (taps textbook) "Because it is. Now let's get to work."

mrs. kai: "Here's your hot boba!"

soobin: "That was fast. Thank you so much."

y/n: (sips) "This is so good!"

mrs. kai: "I was playing around a little in the kitchen the other night. I'm so glad you like them."

y/n: "Thank you, really. How much?"

mrs. kai: "Oh no, no. This one's on the house. You two always come in here together and you're working so hard in school. You deserve it."

soobin: "Thank you."

mrs. kai: "Especially you, you've got a lot on your mind, it seems."

soobin: "Um..."

mrs. kai: "Go on, now. I'll leave the both of you to get started on your homework."

y/n: "Thanks again!" (sighs) "If even Kai's mom can tell there's something weighing on your mind, then there's definitely something. What's up?"

soobin: "That's what I'm trying to say: I don't know. I just feel... weird. Different."

y/n: "Different how?"

soobin: "I'm not sure yet."

y/n: "Well, I think you should write it all out."

soobin: "Really?"

y/n: "Sure. Writing really helps me, actually. Whatever's on my mind gets completely unleashed when I put it on paper."

soobin: "You write like no one will ever read it?"

y/n: "Exactly."

soobin: "Hm. Good idea. Maybe I'll try that later tonight."

y/n: "Good."

soobin: "I hope it works."

y/n: "Give it time."

soobin: (nods) "Okay, we probably should get started on homework now."

y/n: "That's the spirit! I've been wanting to tackle these math problems."

soobin: (laughs)
