Prince the Princess

There once was a girl of royalty,

Her joyousness was one of sincerity.

The girl was a Princess, and also a Prince,

With title and blood, you could be convinced.

She was quite the woman, with that there's no doubt,

She's the one men would fantasize about.

Yet this is the Princess, but what of the Prince?

If the other's the title, then the blood makes sense.

Prince was her name, or so I am told.

She wears her name proudly, ever so bold.

The best of both worlds, and the downsides of none,

Though she was serious, she always had fun.

A rumor is made, of the angelic figure,

but not one of her beauty, her wealth, or her vigor.

No, instead of her heart, and where dormant it lie,

Waiting for one, better than I.

With a thousand men lined up on her shelf,

All I feel I can do, is only blame myself.

I tried to be good, yet repelled her I did,

Which lead to my downfall, the others call out "good rid."

Now I am a shadow, behind the words of this girl,

Never again to see the light of the world.
