Echoes away,
I hope that one day,
I can reunite with the legends.
Echoes away,
The river does sway,
A man of true professions.
Lost in the fray,
And hiding away,
The day of my death it grows nearer.
Lost in the fray,
That day is today,
It could not be made more clearer.
Charge forth my friends,
We march forth and attack.
Different beginnings yet we share the ends,
Against wooden shields do our swords smack.
When shall I die,
Be first or be last,
Where shall I die,
Atop the crowsnest or ahead at the mast.
I fight with my brothers,
And sing with them this song.
Warriors of all shapes and colors,
Throughout the battle I ever remain strong.
Here on this day I fall right across,
The man who has slain me with a sword that is golden.
Here on this day I kneel right across,
None other than the Allfather, Odin.
With arms open wide,
I'm welcomed inside.
The stories fill me with nostalgia,
Of the land I stand in known as Valhalla.
